Variables. The only certainty in Horseracing is that nothing is certain.

·

In horse racing, there are many variables that can affect the outcome of a race. These variables include the horse’s training, jockey’s skill, track conditions, weather, and many other factors. Even with the most experienced trainers and jockeys, and the best-prepared horses, the outcome of a race can never be guaranteed.

There are many examples of long shots winning races and favourites losing races in horse racing. The favourite may have shorter odds and be the expected winner based on past performance, but anything can happen during the race, and the unexpected can occur.

Therefore, it is fair to say that nothing is certain in horse racing. While there are many factors that can increase the chances of winning, the outcome is never guaranteed, and surprises can occur at any moment. This unpredictability is part of what makes horse racing exciting and keeps fans coming back to watch races year after year.
