  1. Castle Rushen (IRE) – Castle Rushen has demonstrated promise as a novice hurdler, earning places in listed/Grade 2 company in the 2020/21 season. Returning to hurdles after an unsuccessful stint over fences, he’s wearing cheekpieces and comes from an in-form yard. His mark looks appealing, which could give him a competitive edge in this race.
  2. Donny Boy (IRE) – Donny Boy has shown consistency in his hurdle performance, winning a 2m maiden at the same venue in December 2021. Coming off a wind operation, he recently finished second in a handicap hurdle at Kelso, behind a highly progressive type. He has experience winning on soft ground and at this location, making him a strong contender in this race.
  3. Cerendipity (IRE) – Cerendipity has shown promise and potential, with a win in a Catterick novice (19f, heavy) in January and a good second at Wetherby (2m3f, good to soft). Although he was well beaten in the EBF Final at Sandown, this race presents a less demanding challenge, and he remains open to improvement. Cerendipity could be a top contender if he can capitalize on his potential.

Keep in mind that horse racing can be unpredictable, and other factors such as track conditions, jockey performance, and the horse’s form on race day could influence the final outcome.
