- Bold As Love – This filly showed promise on debut and is bred to stay the distance. She handles the ground and has the potential to improve. The fact that she was selected by the stable is also a positive sign.
- Toistiun – This filly ran well on debut despite being unfancied and getting within 6 lengths of a 102-rated winner. With the trip expected to suit her better, she is a major player and her claimer retaining the ride is a plus.
- Tender Kiss – This beautifully bred filly catches the eye on paper and is the most interesting newcomer. She has a smart dam and half-siblings who have won at a high level. Although she may be the stable second-string, recent results show that the yard can trump the selected runner, so she should not be ignored.

- Bold Discovery – This colt won a 7f maiden on debut and put in a good effort to finish third in the Group 3 Killavullan Stakes on soft ground. He has a dirt-oriented pedigree, but has shown that he can handle softer ground and is expected to improve further.
- Sea Chariot – This colt won a 14-runner maiden at Dundalk in his last start and showed signs of improvement. Although he may still be inexperienced, he has the potential to progress and could surprise in this race.

- Never Ending Story – a useful filly who has won at this level and has held her own in Group 1 company. She handles soft ground and is expected to be in the mix.
- Ocean Quest – has shown promise over 6f and stayed on well over 7f in a Group 3 last season. She should be suited by the soft ground and has a good chance.
- Matilda Picotte – a reliable filly who has won a Listed race over 6f and finished third in a Group 2 over 7f. She should be in the mix if she can transfer her form to this distance.

- Autocrat – Showed improvement in form in a Dundalk handicap and is 4lb higher today. Handles the ground and should run well.
- Dubawi Spectre – Creditable second behind Autocrat in the same Dundalk handicap and has blinkers on for the first time. Can’t be ignored.
- Evening’s Empire – Won a 7f soft-ground maiden at Galway and has shown promise in other runs. Bred to stay this trip and the yard is in-form, making this one interesting.

- Comfort Line – He was a 3-time winner for the Mick Mulvany stable and was beaten only 3.5l in the Lincoln last week on debut for this yard. A repeat of that will see him go very close.
- Dunum – He was a rapid improver last year, winning 4 out of 5 starts last season from 7f-1m1f and was a fine runner-up on final one. He is just 1lb higher today and can run well fresh, so has a chance.
- Fools Glory – He won twice last autumn on soft ground over 1m before a decent effort in defeat off 1lb higher than today. Although he might still be vulnerable off this mark, he is going the right way and has a chance to be in the mix.

- Khattaat: Showed glimpses of ability in maidens and ran well in a competitive handicap at Dundalk last time out. The booking of Colin Keane is notable and could help him go one better.
- Purple Gown: Ran well on comeback at the Curragh last week and is only penalized 6lb for that run. Should go well again with a repeat performance.
- Leabaland: Handles a cut in the ground and came back to form with a good second at Dundalk last time out. Still well treated on old form and could run well again.
