- Double Click – Double Click is a half-brother to a fairly useful hurdler and a French hurdle winner. While he was unplaced in all three of his starts in Irish points, he has joined a respected yard ahead of his Rules debut and should be taken seriously.
- Rocco Royale – Rocco Royale has shown improvement with each run, finishing with a strong third-place finish in a maiden hurdle at Ludlow last month. He will appreciate the step up in trip, and he seems sure to progress again. He has a good chance in this race.
- Scene One – Scene One finished third in two well-contested novice hurdle races last year, but he has struggled in his two subsequent runs. He has had a three-month break, and it’s difficult to know what to expect from him. If he returns to his earlier form, he has a strong chance in this race.
Overall, I believe that Double Click, Rocco Royale, and Scene One are the top three horses to consider for this race.

- Ballingers Corner – Ballingers Corner is an unexposed 8-year-old who has been lightly raced since winning a maiden hurdle for Nicky Henderson in 2020. Although he was a disappointing favourite on his last start at Ludlow, he drops in trip and grade here, and with a better ride, he should be capable of much better.
- Hector Jaguen – Hector Jaguen is a maiden Irish pointer who has made the frame in his first two attempts over fences. Although he unseated his rider on his latest appearance, he looks to be one of the likelier contenders in this race.
- Shaw’s Cross – Shaw’s Cross won a handicap chase at Plumpton earlier this year and has been consistent this season. Although he had a rare poor effort in his latest start, he is likely to bounce back in this race, and his current mark is workable.
Overall, I believe that Ballingers Corner, Hector Jaguen, and Shaw’s Cross are the top three horses to consider for this race.

Somespring Special has shown gradual progress in her novice hurdles and finished a respectable third in her first handicap at Wincanton. The drop in trip shouldn’t be an issue, and she could easily have more to offer now that she’s handicapping.
Yesnosorry showed improvement in his last race with the addition of a tongue tie and finished strongly to secure second place. He still needs to learn to settle better, but with more improvement expected, he has good claims in this race.
Mistral Nell has a mixed record over hurdles, but the addition of cheekpieces for her handicap return could help her perform better. She’s bred for longer distances, so this drop in trip might not suit her, but she has the potential to do better over longer trips.
Gio’s Girl has been disappointing in her three runs since returning from a long absence, and Millies Mite hasn’t shown much promise in her 13 runs over hurdles.
Overall, Somespring Special and Yesnosorry have the most appealing profiles for this race and could be the ones to watch.

In this race, there are several horses with chances, and it looks to be a competitive contest.
Monjules has won his last two starts over course and distance and has the potential to improve further, but the 6lb rise in the handicap puts extra pressure on him.
Red Windsor is another one who has performed well over course and distance and could improve in handicaps. He has been given a workable handicap mark and should be in the mix.
Hatos ran well over hurdles last time out after a string of poor performances over fences. The drop back in trip should suit him, and he could be a danger.
Astromachia has been lightly raced but showed promise earlier in the season. He was not beaten too far last time out and could be a factor if he improves.
Gardener has potential but has been a little disappointing in his last start. He may be capable of better and could improve in handicaps.
Saligo Bay has been consistent this season but has struggled to win off his current mark.
No Tackle won a maiden hurdle over 2m3f but has not performed as well in handicaps since. He has been dropped back in trip, but it’s hard to know if that will help him.
Overall, I would select Monjules, Red Windsor, and Hatos as my top three picks for this race. Monjules is in good form and has proven himself over course and distance, Red Windsor has potential in handicaps, and Hatos should appreciate the drop back in trip.

Flintara has been in excellent form this season, winning both her starts including a dominant victory over 3m2f here last month. While today’s shorter trip might not be ideal, she is clearly thriving and looks a big shout for the hat-trick.
Just Loose Change has been very consistent this season, finishing in the frame in all three starts including a comfortable win on handicap debut at Worcester in the autumn. Despite a rise in the weights, he could still have more to offer and is likely to be in the mix again.
San Pedro De Senam returned from a long layoff with an encouraging fourth at Huntingdon in February and is now running off a career-low mark. While not the force he once was, he could surprise at a decent price.
Of the others, Chloe’s Court has the ability to be competitive off a workable mark, while Star Flyer could improve on his promising performances to date and has the potential to be a factor in his handicap debut.

Mister Murchan has been out of form this season but has been given a chance by the handicapper and the addition of cheekpieces seemed to have a positive effect last time out. However, he will need to show more to win this race. William Philo has been in good form, with close efforts over hurdles and a very good third place over fences at Chepstow last time. The application of blinkers for the first time could help him improve further and make him the one to beat. Wind Tor returned to form with a solid third place finish at Exeter last time and is versatile regarding ground conditions. He has a good chance of being in the mix here. The other three runners, Bellamy’s Grey, Moroval, and The Boat, have shown little to recommend them in recent runs and it would be a surprise if any of them were to win this race.

All Authorized (FR) looks to have a very good chance based on his pedigree and connections. He is a €110,000 Authorized gelding who is a brother to useful 2m hurdle winner I Am Maximus, stays 21f, and is a half-brother to 4 winners on the Flat. This likely type on paper is a market reference and is worth considering.
Dotties Star, a Sea The Moon gelding, showed fair form when third on debut at Huntingdon and was a respectable sixth in a Cheltenham listed race on New Year’s Day. He didn’t build on that effort but should be a player back in calmer waters and is a likely contender here.
Taita Hills is another runner worth considering. The second foal is from a dam who was a point winner and placed 2m3f hurdle, showed improvement when winning good-ground maiden point by 6l in January, and is trained by a good stable for the rules career. He is one of two runners from the stable and the betting should help to separate them.
Other runners to note are Drishogue, who is a Mount Nelson filly and a half-sister to 3 winners, including useful hurdler/smart chaser Hatcher and fair chaser Flash Tommie, and has a stable that occasionally produces bumper winners. Bing Belle, a Royal Anthem filly who is the first foal of her dam, should also enter the reckoning if the betting speaks for her.
In summary, All Authorized, Dotties Star, and Taita Hills are the top three horses to consider based on their past performance, physical attributes, and relevant factors.
