BALLYGOWAN OPPORTUNITY MAIDEN HURDLE

Distance 2m 180y

Prize €10,000 Age 4yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 22

Going Good to Yielding (Yielding in places)

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 13:35 Ballygowan Opportunity Maiden Hurdle on the 1st of May, 2023, Sign From Above (IRE) appears to be the most likely winner. The horse has won a 1m5f Flat handicap and made a strong impression on its hurdles debut, finishing fourth in a good-class Leopardstown maiden. Although not as successful in its last appearance at Fairyhouse, Sign From Above remains an interesting contender in this race.

However, there are a few potential dangers to consider. Top Speed (IRE) has shown fair form in Clonmel maidens, and with a tongue tie added and possibly better ground, the horse may be well-suited for this race. The Mediator (IRE) also has potential for improvement, having had only three runs since winning a bumper on debut. With room for improvement in jumping, The Mediator could be a threat in this race.

Monsieur Azul and Samadabad (FR) are two other horses to keep an eye on. Monsieur Azul comes from a notable family and is likely to show more now being sent hurdling. Samadabad, a winner on the Flat in France, had a strong Irish debut but needs to improve on its last performance at Cork. Both these horses could pose a challenge to the front-runners.

KEMPTON PARK WORKING WITH THE COMMUNITY NOVICES’ HURDLE (4)

Distance 2m

Prize £4,357 Age 4yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 11

Going Good (Good to Soft in places)

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 13:55 Kempton Park Working with the Community Novices’ Hurdle on the 1st of May, 2023, Iolaos Du Mou (FR) appears to be the most likely winner. The horse justified favouritism in a good-ground bumper at Newbury and, despite finishing sixth at Kempton under a penalty, is expected to go on to better things over hurdles.

However, there are a few potential dangers to consider. Father Of Jazz is a very useful Flat-racer and looked set for a good first season over hurdles when finishing second at Huntingdon. Disappointing runs since can be attributed to soft ground and a tongue-tie, which is now replaced by a hood. Father Of Jazz remains with the same owners after leaving Dan Skelton, and could pose a threat.

Moonshine Spirit and Classic Anthem (IRE) are two other horses to keep an eye on. Moonshine Spirit showed encouraging bumper form and may find this sharper test more to his liking after a remote fourth on his switch to hurdling at Chepstow. Classic Anthem fetched £200,000 at the sales after finishing alone in an Irish point and, despite being beaten in a bumper at Kempton, still showed promise. Both these horses could challenge the front-runners.

Distance 5f 21y

Prize £4,397 Rated (0-75) Age 4yo+ Race State Declaration Surface Turf Runners 6

Going Heavy

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 14:09 At The Races Form Study Apprentice Training Series Handicap on the 1st of May, 2023, Stone Circle (IRE) emerges as the most likely winner. The horse has three turf wins from last year and made a strong return to action at Yarmouth, showing resilience to snatch victory. With a 2lb rise not being excessive, Stone Circle should be highly respected in this race.

However, there are a few potential dangers worth considering. Bezzas Lad (IRE) has been in good form on the AW this winter, and with a win on slow ground in the past, might prove difficult to catch if he takes the lead. Another horse to keep an eye on is Four Adaay, who is well-suited to 5f on slow ground and is now 5lb lower than her Nottingham win last May. Although her return at Bath suggested she might have needed the run, she is worth considering as a potential threat.

COOLMORE STUD BLACKBEARD IRISH EBF TETRARCH STAKES (Listed)

Distance 1m

Prize €50,000 Age 3yo Race State Declaration Surface Turf Runners 6

Going Straight course: Soft, Round course: Yielding to Soft

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 14:25 Coolmore Stud Blackbeard Irish EBF Tetrarch Stakes on the 1st of May, 2023, Paddington appears to be the most likely winner. He has shown significant improvement since his debut and looked like a Group-standard horse in the making when winning the Madrid Handicap at Naas. With a revised mark of 105, Paddington sets the standard in this race.

However, there are potential dangers to consider. Bold Discovery (USA) looked promising when winning a 7f maiden on debut and has shown that he can cope with varying ground conditions. He has also proven himself against strong competition in previous races. Drumroll (IRE) is another horse to watch, as he overcame inexperience to win on debut, but appears to be the second-string for the stable in this race.

RACING TV NOVICES’ HANDICAP CHASE (4)

Distance 2m 4f 110y

Prize £7,077 Rated (0-120) Age 5yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 8

Going Good (Good to Soft in places)

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 14:30 Racing TV Novices’ Handicap Chase on the 1st of May, 2023, Dreaming Blue seems to be the most likely winner. He was industrious when winning over fences at Doncaster and appeared to run his race when finishing third at Wincanton off the same mark. Dreaming Blue can be expected to perform well again.

There are, however, potential dangers to consider. Bagheera Ginge was a clear-cut winner in two minor novice hurdles before coming up short on his handicap debut. He is down 3lb and could make an impact as a chaser. Another one to watch is Telhimlisten, who has won four times over hurdles and defied a 14lb rise at Plumpton last week. Despite changing yards, he has shown potential and could pose a threat in this race.

VISIT racingtv.com NOVICES’ LIMITED HANDICAP CHASE (3)

Distance 2m 54y

Prize £7,922 Age 5yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 5

Going Good

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 14:37 Visit racingtv.com Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase on the 1st of May, 2023, Herbiers appears to be the most likely winner. He was a near-5l fourth in a Grade 2 handicap recently, which was on par with his previous chasing best. The drop in class and trip should suit him, and he is down 1lb.

However, there are a couple of potential dangers to consider. A Different Kind has chasers in his immediate family, and although it remains to be seen if his recent fourth-place finish at Aintree was due to an appreciation of the venue, he does start his life over fences off 2lb lower. Additionally, Mayhem Mya has shown good form with a hurdling win and second at Sandown this winter. As a homebred niece to a Grand Sefton winner, she is entitled to take to chasing, although softer ground might suit her better.

MOLSON COORS MAIDEN HURDLE (4)

Distance 2m 5f

Prize £4,357 Age 4yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 9

Going Good (Good to Soft in places)

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 15:05 Molson Coors Maiden Hurdle on the 1st of May, 2023, it seems that Ajp Kingdom is the most likely winner. On his hurdling debut, he was no match for a useful winner, but he managed to push an in-form rival close in a race at Ludlow. He has solid credentials coming into this race.

However, there are a few potential dangers to keep an eye on. Astronomic View has shown progress in four bumpers, including a win at Exeter, but may prefer softer ground. Destroytheevidence, who was beaten under 10l in two bumpers, is likely to make a better hurdler and deserves some respect. Lastly, Jemura, who had a promising run in Irish points, should improve over hurdles for his leading yard.

Distance 3m 1f

Prize £3,961 Rated (0-100) Age 4yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 11

Going Good

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 15:12 Bet At racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle on the 1st of May, 2023, Dev Of Tara appears to be the most likely winner. He showed good form with a win at Fakenham earlier this year, and the refitting of cheekpieces could help him find that extra bit needed for victory.

However, there are a few potential dangers worth considering. My Girl Lollipop has returned to form with two strong efforts this spring and should be able to make her presence felt again. Unspeakable is another contender, having secured a narrow win at Hereford and still has plenty of room for progress. Finally, Mr Palmtree bounced back to form with a win at this course in March and enters calculations with today’s quicker conditions expected to suit him.

Distance 1m 31y

Prize £3,768 Rated (0-60) Age 3yo Race State Declaration Surface Turf Runners 9

Going Heavy

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 15:19 At The Races App Expert Tips Handicap on the 1st of May, 2023, Sparks Fly seems to be the most likely winner. She has been improving with experience and demonstrated her stamina when drawing clear in a course and distance handicap last week on heavy ground. Under a penalty, she still appears to be well-positioned and should be seriously considered.

As for possible dangers, Bletchley Storm stands out as a leading contender after finishing second in a Class 5 fillies’ handicap at Nottingham recently. She should continue to improve with experience. Another horse worth noting is Khangai, who ran well behind a strong rival at Redcar two weeks ago, suggesting he has at least place claims in this race.

CLUB LOADED BEGINNERS CHASE

Distance 2m 3f 150y

Prize €11,000 Age 5yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 9

Going Good to Yielding (Yielding in places)

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 15:20 Club Loaded Beginners Chase on the 1st of May, 2023, The Friday Man appears to be the most likely winner. This progressive hurdler demonstrated his ability by winning a 2m5f Cheltenham novices’ event last month, and he seems to appreciate decent ground. He looks like the type to transition well into a novice chaser.

Possible dangers to watch out for include Dreal Deal, a Grade 2 novice hurdle winner who hasn’t been discredited in his two attempts chasing so far, and Chiricahua, a decent Flat handicapper who is switching to chasing and could be one to consider based on his hurdles mark of 116.

Distance 7f

Prize €67,500 Age 3yo+ Race State Declaration Surface Turf Runners 8

Going Straight course: Soft, Round course: Yielding to Soft

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart for the 15:35 Coolmore Stud Circus Maximus Irish EBF Athasi Stakes (Group 3) on the 1st of May, 2023, Queen Aminatu emerges as the most likely winner. This hold-up performer has achieved success in both Lingfield and Deauville in her final two races last year and scored readily on her reappearance at Newcastle. Although she is 0-5 on turf, any drying of the ground could increase her chances.

Potential dangers to watch out for include Just Beautiful, who displayed very useful form in 2021, ending with a Group 3 win at Doncaster. Another contender is Agartha, a Group 2 winner at two, who had a solid Group 3 win over an extended 7f at Tipperary last August and should be better for her seasonal debut here in March.

Going Good

Based on the comments and chart assessment for the 16:22 Watch Irish Racing on RacingTV Handicap Chase on 1st May 2023, Another Crick appears to be the most likely winner. Although not quite the force he once was, he has finished second in his last two appearances and should be well suited by today’s trip and ground conditions. He is expected to be on the premises again.

Possible dangers to keep an eye on include Fairway Freddy, who can be unpredictable but has a good chance if he performs well today. He is only 1lb higher than when winning at Stratford in the autumn and had a solid performance when finishing second at Plumpton in his latest outing. Another contender is Somekindofstar, who won a similar C&D race off today’s mark in September and could be dangerous if refreshed by his latest break.

Going Good to Soft (Soft in places)

Based on the comments and chart assessment for the 16:43 Follow @attheraces on Twitter Handicap on 1st May 2023, Hiromichi appears to be the most likely winner. He has shown steady improvement in recent times, progressing well with the step up to 1 mile this spring. Despite racing keenly on heavy ground last time, he only cracked late and holds strong claims for this race.

Possible dangers to watch out for include Spirit of the Bay, who was competitive in decent handicaps last season and should perform better than in her recent AW comeback. However, there are some risks associated with her as she has a habit of blowing the start and can pull hard. Another contender to consider is Rival, who won second time out as a 3-year-old and has a decent chance of following suit after a solid comeback recently. He stays further and won’t mind any rain, making him a potential threat in the race.

BARRIE WELLS TRUST BOX4KIDS HANDICAP HURDLE (4)

Distance 2m

Prize £4,489 Rated (0-110) Age 4yo+ Race State Declaration Runners 8

Going Good

Based on the comments and chart assessment for the 16:57 Barrie Wells Trust Box4Kids Handicap Hurdle on 1st May 2023, Elios D’Or seems to be the most likely winner. He has been in good form, winning twice over fences last summer and recently winning a conditional riders’ hurdle at Kempton. Although that race fell apart, he can run off the same mark today, which is 10lb lower than his chase mark. The forecasted quicker ground should suit him, giving him leading claims in this race.

Possible dangers to watch out for include Parc D’Amour, who won a bumper at Doncaster last spring and has had promising runs in three hurdle starts. He makes his handicap debut at a realistic level, and there is potential for more to come. Additionally, Fancy Stuff is another contender to consider, dropping back in trip and having placed in her last two attempts over 2m. Her best form has come on soft ground, so she could pose a threat in this race.

Going Heavy

Based on the comments and chart assessment for the 17:04 Follow @attheraces on Twitter Handicap on 1st May 2023, Albus Anne appears to be the most likely winner. She is an 11-race maiden but put up a strong performance when finishing second over the same course and distance two weeks ago. Her record on soft ground is quite impressive and she should be competitive once again.

Possible dangers to consider include Chagall, who has enjoyed two AW wins for his new yard over the winter and has shown strong form on slow turf lately. He is climbing up the weights but is expected to give a good account of himself. Another contender to watch out for is Mr Zee, a front-running winner over the course and distance two weeks ago, with Albus Anne finishing second. A 2lb rise in the weights is manageable, and he appears to be a more appealing choice than most in the field. Gold Souk, who recently found form after wind surgery, could also be in the mix and should not be overlooked.

Distance 1m 100y

Going Soft (Good to Soft in places)

Based on the comments and chart assessment for the 17:13 Brian Dixon Memorial Handicap on 1st May 2023, On The River appears to be the most likely winner. He made a successful stable debut in a 1m Class 5 handicap at Pontefract last week on good to soft ground, showing determination and finding plenty despite wandering in the straight. He should put up a strong performance even with the 5lb penalty.

Possible dangers to consider include Cubana Habana, who had a promising debut at Thirsk and was a comfortable winner of a Hamilton maiden one year ago. With a reduced mark and cheekpieces added, he could be an interesting contender now dropped in class. Another horse to watch is Ugo Gregory, a four-time winner in 2021 with three victories at the same track over an extended 7f. Though he had a blank season last year, his return to action at Ripon 11 days ago showed promise, and he should not be overlooked.

In my opinion, MIDNIGHT FIRE (IRE) seems to be the most likely winner in this race. With a win in this race last year off an identical mark and a recent C&D victory on seasonal debut, Midnight Fire appears to be in good form and well-suited for this race.

As for possible dangers, HERO OF THE HOUR has been successful at Dundalk and could pose a threat, although the soft ground may be a concern. MOGWLI has shown consistent form and has a C&D win under his belt, making him another contender to watch out for. Finally, LITTLE QUEENIE, with a win at Dundalk and consistent performances this year, could also be competitive if she can translate her form to this venue.

Based on the analysis of the comments, KING’S THRESHOLD appears to be the most likely winner in this race. The 6-year-old has shown improvement and has the potential to excel over this distance, especially after a 4lb rise.

However, there are a few other contenders who could pose a threat. YOUNG BUTLER, for instance, has demonstrated talent and put up a strong performance at Haydock recently, so he could be a close contender. ISLAND RUN has also shown potential with previous wins at Wincanton, and if he can bounce back from a disappointing run at Newbury, he may be in the mix as well. Lastly, PEACE OF ROME should not be overlooked, as a step up to 3 miles could suit him and allow for a better performance.

Taking into account the analysis of the comments, BLUE BIKINI seems to be the most likely winner in this race. She recently scored a clear-cut success at Market Rasen and has an impressive 3-7 record over hurdles. If she is in the right mood for this race, she could be a major player.

However, there are a few potential threats to keep an eye on. ENERGY ONE has not yet been fully exposed and could be a strong contender after a promising performance at Ludlow. FLYING NUN, who has shown peak form in recent races, could also be a threat if everything goes according to plan. Finally, REGAL RENAISSANCE’s recent win at Ludlow should not be ignored, as she could be a serious contender under a 7lb penalty in this race.

Based on the analysis of the comments, BLUE YONDER seems to be the most likely winner in this race. The horse showed improvement in a Southwell maiden handicap last month and shaped as if the longer distance in this race will suit him well.

However, there are a few potential dangers to consider. ANGEL DE LUZ made a significant step forward on her handicap and stable debut at Wetherby, and being bred for this longer trip, she could go well if the race doesn’t come too soon for her. ANIERES GIRL, who had her best 2-year-old effort at this venue, could perform well back here with a Nottingham reappearance under her belt and an increased trip. Lastly, KING HARRY, who has only been midfield in previous races, might perform better in handicaps over middle distances, making him an interesting contender in this race.

Prize £3,245 Rated (0-65) Age 4yo+ Race State Declaration Surface Turf Runners 12

Going Good to Soft (Soft in places)

After analysing the comments and assessing the chart, VITRALITE appears to be the most likely winner in this race. The horse has come back from Hong Kong off a significantly reduced mark and has not been hard pushed to win Class 6s at Chelmsford and Yarmouth. Furthermore, his performance at Yarmouth showed his effectiveness over a galloping 1m on soft turf, making him a strong contender in this race.

However, there are a few potential dangers to consider. BOBBY DASSLER put up a strong performance last time out on the same course and distance, failing by just a neck, and another bold bid is likely off better terms. HAVANA GOLDRUSH, who won over this course and distance 10 days ago, still has low mileage on turf and could potentially uphold superiority over some of his reopposing rivals, despite a rise in weight and a poor draw. Lastly, EYE OF THE WATER has a better draw than his last race and could be a threat, although he has yet to fully convince in races over 1m or more.
