Analysis and Assessment of the Top Contenders:
- Broadford Publican (IRE) – With a total rating of 231.0, Broadford Publican takes the top spot in the rankings. Although he didn’t perform as well in his last outing at Naas, he showed promise on his handicap debut at Fairyhouse. While dropping back to maiden company, he faces a tough task, but his previous performance indicates potential.
- Be Fierce (IRE) – Ranked second with a total rating of 201.5, Be Fierce struggled in his first two runs this season but displayed improvement with a fifth-place finish at Thurles in March. However, he will need to find further improvement back down in trip.
- Macanogue (IRE) – With a total rating of 195.7, Macanogue showed progress in his recent run at Fairyhouse, finishing ninth out of 21. While he jumped left in that race, he could still be a contender if he rectifies his jumping and performs well at this venue.
Additional Considerations:
Sir Prince Edmond is worth considering as he showed improvement in his last outing at this venue, finishing fifth of 13. If he handles the forecast softer ground, he should be in the mix.
Toor Moon also showed promise on his hurdle debut, finishing fourth at Wexford in March. With his ability to handle softer ground, he has the potential to build on that performance.
Based on the total ratings, here’s the report for the 5.35 Kilbeggan race:

Rankings based on Total Ratings:
- Laser Focus (IRE) – Total Rating: 316.2
- Royal Eagle (IRE) – Total Rating: 309.5
- Hide And Seek (FR) – Total Rating: 296.8
Analysis and Assessment of the Top Contenders:
- Laser Focus (IRE) – With a total rating of 316.2, Laser Focus takes the top spot in the rankings. She was only beaten by a neck in a maiden hurdle at Tramore in October and showed further improvement when finishing as a half-length runner-up over 1m7f at Kilbeggan last month. Despite a slight 3lb rise in the weights, she remains a strong contender, although any rain may not be in her favor.
- Royal Eagle (IRE) – Ranked second with a total rating of 309.5, Royal Eagle followed up a novice hurdle win at last year’s Galway festival with a Flat win at Tramore in August. While she was unable to secure her hat-trick on handicap hurdle debut at Listowel, she still holds potential and should be considered as a contender.
- Hide And Seek (FR) – With a total rating of 296.8, Hide And Seek won a maiden hurdle at Tramore in April 2022 but has struggled since then. However, she hinted at a return to form at Kilbeggan last month and may benefit from that first run in nine months. The fact that jockey Blackmore has chosen to ride her over stablemate Laser Focus is an interesting factor to consider.
Additional Considerations:
Mister Wilson showed promise on his handicap debut, finishing just under a length behind the winner at Kilbeggan last month. With a reasonable 3lb higher mark, he is expected to perform well in this race.
Walter Grey, although tailed off in his last outing, showed promise in maiden hurdles earlier in the season. With a workable mark, he should not be discounted and could be a contender.
Based on the total ratings, here’s the report for the 6.10 Kilbeggan race:

Rankings based on Total Ratings:
- Rule The Wind (IRE) – Total Rating: 310.1
- Ideal Du Tabert (FR) – Total Rating: 291.0
- Workforadime (IRE) – Total Rating: 248.4
Analysis and Assessment of the Top Contenders:
- Rule The Wind (IRE) – With a total rating of 310.1, Rule The Wind left his debut behind when narrowly beaten by half a length at Tipperary last month. The form of that race has been working out well, making Rule The Wind a strong contender with the potential for further progress.
- Ideal Du Tabert (FR) – Ranked second with a total rating of 291.0, Ideal Du Tabert showed promise in novice hurdles earlier this year. Although he had a lesser effort in a maiden hurdle last month, the step back up in trip should suit him, and he remains a viable contender.
- Workforadime (IRE) – With a total rating of 248.4, Workforadime has shown minor promise in bumpers but hasn’t replicated that form over hurdles for her new yard. However, the application of a tongue-tie may help improve her performance, and she cannot be ruled out completely.
Additional Considerations:
Flidais showed much more promise when finishing as a runner-up at Kilbeggan last month. With a pedigree suggesting that further distance would suit her, she could be an each-way player if she continues to improve.
Iron Allen, a point winner, delivered an encouraging fourth-place finish on his Rules debut at Kilbeggan last month. The step up in trip and softer ground may work in his favor, making him a contender to watch.

Rankings based on Total Ratings:
- Nine Graces – Total Rating: 390.5
- Sweet Will (IRE) – Total Rating: 374.8
- Run For Pat (IRE) – Total Rating: 372.0
Analysis and Assessment of the Top Contenders:
- Nine Graces – With a total rating of 390.5, Nine Graces arrives bidding for a hat-trick after winning a maiden hurdle and a mares’ handicap hurdle in her last two outings. The runner-up from her last race has performed well since, indicating the strength of that form. Despite a 12lb rise in the weights, Nine Graces remains a significant player in this race.
- Sweet Will (IRE) – Ranked second with a total rating of 374.8, Sweet Will achieved a career-best win at Doncaster in March. Although he pulled up in his most recent race, he may have needed that run and could bounce back here. His best form comes on good ground, which should be considered.
- Run For Pat (IRE) – With a total rating of 372.0, Run For Pat showed his best form when winning a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle two starts ago. He may have found heavy ground too testing in his most recent outing at Cork. If conditions are more favorable this time, he should not be ruled out.
Additional Considerations:
Law Ella has shown promise, finishing as the runner-up to Nine Graces in a maiden hurdle and winning a maiden hurdle at Downpatrick last month. With a swing in the weights in her favor, she could be a contender to watch.
Level Neverending has been fairly consistent, including a 6-length defeat in the Pertemps and a 5-length defeat at Punchestown last month. He remains on a good mark and could find this race slightly easier.
Birdie Blitz has been in good form over hurdles, although he pulled up when favored over fences in his last outing. He appears versatile with regards to ground conditions and should not be discounted.
Based on the total ratings, here’s the report for the 7.20 Kilbeggan race:

Rankings based on Total Ratings:
- Itswhatunitesus (IRE) – Total Rating: 355.4
- Paul Marvel (FR) – Total Rating: 327.0
- Macdermott (FR) – Total Rating: 310.0
Analysis and Assessment of the Top Contenders:
- Itswhatunitesus (IRE) – With a total rating of 355.4, Itswhatunitesus is a dual hurdle winner who may have disappointed in his recent races over hurdles. However, with a rating of 132 in that sphere, he should be considered a top contender if he takes well to the fences. A strong performance from Itswhatunitesus would see him rank high in this race.
- Paul Marvel (FR) – Ranked second with a total rating of 327.0, Paul Marvel won a maiden hurdle on debut for his current yard earlier this year. Although he had a below-par performance in his last outing, he has the potential to bounce back on his chasing debut. A solid run in a Navan novice race indicates his ability, and if he returns to that level, he could be a contender.
- Macdermott (FR) – With a total rating of 310.0, Macdermott has shown improved form by winning a Tramore maiden hurdle last month. Although he is currently third reserve and may not get a run, if he does, he should be respected based on his recent performance.
Additional Considerations:
Dreal Deal, a Grade 2 novice hurdle winner, has been running well on the Flat and put in a solid third-place finish in his second chasing start at Tipperary. If he continues to improve in this discipline, he has the potential to be a major contender.
Get My Drift, a hurdle winner, has shown promise in his four chase starts, including a notable performance in a hot Leopardstown handicap. If he can replicate that form, he should be closely involved in the outcome of this race.

Rankings based on Total Ratings:
- Clifton Warrior – Total Rating: 373.1
- Pairc Na Ngael (IRE) – Total Rating: 357.8
- Arctic Ambition (IRE) – Total Rating: 338.9
Analysis and Assessment of the Top Contenders:
- Clifton Warrior – With a total rating of 373.1, Clifton Warrior is a dual hurdle winner who recently finished runner-up in beginners’ chases at Limerick and Tipperary. Stepping up in trip on his handicap debut, he should benefit from the additional distance. Clifton Warrior has the potential to be closely involved in this race.
- Pairc Na Ngael (IRE) – Ranked second with a total rating of 357.8, Pairc Na Ngael was in excellent form before his break, winning over 3m1f at Kilbeggan and following up at Gowran Park. With a 7lb rise in the weights, the market could provide an indication of his readiness after the absence. If he returns in good form, Pairc Na Ngael should be considered as a top contender.
- Arctic Ambition (IRE) – With a total rating of 338.9, Arctic Ambition is a maiden over hurdles but has shown promise in his third win over fences over this course and distance in his last outing. Raised 8lb for that victory, there could be more to come from him. Arctic Ambition tends to perform well on sound surfaces, and if he handles the conditions, he could be a factor in this race.
Additional Considerations:
Falco Blitz bounced back to form with a strong third-place finish at Limerick over the same trip. Off the same mark today and with the ability to handle the sounder surface, Falco Blitz is worth considering as a potential contender.
The Tack Room won a Fairyhouse handicap chase earlier this year and put in a respectable performance when out of the handicap in the Leinster National. With the possibility of improvement, The Tack Room should be respected in this field.
Based on the total ratings, here’s the report for the 8.30 Kilbeggan race:

Rankings based on Total Ratings:
- Joshua Des Flos (FR) – Total Rating: 291.6
- Toonagh Warrior (IRE) – Total Rating: 191.8
- Comeonarchie (IRE) – Total Rating: 168.5
Analysis and Assessment of the Top Contenders:
- Joshua Des Flos (FR) – With a total rating of 291.6, Joshua Des Flos showed promise on debut when finishing second in a Leopardstown bumper and again on debut for his current yard in a strong Punchestown maiden hurdle. If he can replicate the latter form in a bumper, he would be a formidable contender in this race.
- Toonagh Warrior (IRE) – Ranked second with a total rating of 191.8, Toonagh Warrior displayed signs of promise in a debut run at Thurles. However, he delivered a below-par performance at Clonmel in testing ground conditions. If he can resume his progress and handle better ground, Toonagh Warrior could be a factor in this race.
- Comeonarchie (IRE) – With a total rating of 168.5, Comeonarchie was not disgraced on debut at Navan, finishing 20 lengths behind subsequent Cheltenham Bumper fifth It’s For Me in soft ground. After a break, if he handles the better ground conditions, Comeonarchie should run well in this race.
Additional Considerations:
Croke Park, despite taking time to get to the track, is a major player based on his point win at Dromahane last year and the subsequent performances of horses from that race. If Croke Park brings that form to this race, he should be strongly considered.
Who’s Kidding Who represents outstanding connections and has a pedigree that suggests potential. With a leading sire and a yard with a decent record in bumpers, Who’s Kidding Who should be given maximum respect, especially if well-supported in the betting market.
