·

  1. Snowcapped (IRE) – Total rating: 443.7
Snowcapped has shown strong form with an emphatic course win on her first handicap and a maiden win on her seasonal debut. Despite a significant 11lb increase in weight, her return to 1m is likely to play to her strengths. She remains competitive and appears to have more to offer. Her winning streak this season and her progressive profile make her the highest-rated horse in this race.
  2. Impact Warrior (IRE) – Total rating: 436.4
Impact Warrior has had some strong runs, performing well in a novice race at Roscommon and a conditions event at Killarney. However, she was less successful in a Leopardstown Group 3, largely due to a slow start. Despite this, she remains open to progress, and her rating suggests she’s a significant contender. The main concern is whether she might be vulnerable under a high weight.
  3. Vernet (IRE) – Total rating: 420.4
Vernet has shown some promise, with a maiden win on this course and a close second-place finish. He has contested in high-class races, including the Group 2 Prix de Calvados at Deauville. After a 9-month break, he could be unexposed and may return with improved form. The yard’s current good form is another positive factor.
  4. Clounmacon (IRE) – Total rating: 362.3
Clounmacon put in a strong performance on debut, narrowly losing out to Vernet. He followed this with an excellent second-place finish in a 7f maiden at Gowran. Despite a less impressive showing in his most recent run, he still poses a definite chance in this company, given his high rating and previous form.
  5. Bellaphina (IRE) – Total rating: 334.9
Bellaphina has shown promise in her few starts to date. She won a 7f maiden at Limerick and has shown signs of further progress. As compared to Cyber Attack, she appears well-handicapped, and with her consistent form, she stands a solid chance in this race.

As for other horses not in the top five but with positive comments, “Tea Olive (FR)” and “Amazing Show” stand out.

  • Tea Olive (FR) shows a consistent form, having been a winner and twice second from three starts this term. Despite a 10th place finish in a recent handicap at Naas, Amazing Show might offer some value. He was given an ambitious task in the Group 1 Moyglare Stakes before and now will be wearing blinkers for the first time, indicating the potential for improvement.

Based on this analysis, Snowcapped seems to be the top contender due to its highest rating and current form. However, horse racing is unpredictable, and it will be interesting to see if other horses, like Impact Warrior or Vernet, can upset the odds.
