Based on the ratings provided, here’s the ranking of the runners from highest to lowest:

  1. Azahara Palace – 437.2
  2. Eyeshadow – 391.4
  3. Chorus Line – 365.4
  4. Ae Fond Kiss – 339.6
  5. Ellade – 315.7
  6. Alyara – 291.2

Let’s assess the comments for each runner:

  1. Azahara Palace: Shaped well on her debut at Windsor and won a C&D maiden in her last start. Moves into handicaps with untapped potential and her jockey’s claim is a bonus. Untried on slower ground, but still appealing.
  2. Eyeshadow: Ran to a fair level in her last two starts and could improve now moving into handicaps. An interesting contender.
  3. Chorus Line: Stepped up on her 2-year-old form when winning on handicap debut at Leicester. Didn’t perform as well when upped in trip at Haydock. Untested on slower ground.
  4. Ae Fond Kiss: Won a novice race at Ffos Las and finished second in a Sandown handicap in her last start. Others may be more persuasive.
  5. Ellade: Has one turf success on good to soft ground and hasn’t been in top form recently. However, her ability shouldn’t be discounted in this field.
  6. Alyara: Ran her best race this year when finishing third at Lingfield. Good claims based on her best form from last season. One to consider.

Based on this analysis, Azahara Palace has the highest rating and has shown good form in her recent starts. Eyeshadow could be a contender as she transitions into handicaps. Chorus Line has shown potential but may need to prove herself over slower ground. Ae Fond Kiss and Ellade have shown glimpses of ability but may face tougher competition. Alyara has previous good form and is worth considering.

  1. Bashful: Clear win over Shine On Brendan at Hamilton and followed up with a win at Newcastle after wind surgery. Strong claims for another good performance.
  2. Detective: Won at Hamilton and Carlisle last year and has put in fair efforts in recent starts at Carlisle. Shouldn’t be too far away.
  3. Shine On Brendan (IRE): Close second to Bashful at Hamilton and won at Musselburgh in blinkers. Unexposed with retained headgear and has a good chance.
  4. Havana Party: Third in this race last year and won at Ayr last month. Concerns over slow ground, but can’t be ruled out.
  5. Zozimus (IRE): Missed 2022 and hasn’t performed strongly this year, but hasn’t run badly in the last two starts. Drops back in grade with a change of headgear.
  6. Bobbys Blessing: Won on debut and has shown promise in subsequent runs. Fourth on handicap debut at Beverley. Lightly raced and could progress.

Based on this analysis, Bashful has the highest rating and has shown good recent form. Detective has a solid track record and should be in contention. 6. Trapista (FR) – 305.6
  7. Benefit Run (IRE) – 301.2
  8. Vinnie The Hoddie (IRE) – 223.6

Let’s assess the comments for each runner:

  1. Benefit Run: Third in a recent hurdle race but winless going right-handed and over this distance. Others are more persuasive.
  2. Captain Ivan (IRE): Career-best efforts in recent victories at Southwell and Perth. Form boosted by wins from horses in the same race. Won over C&D in a previous hurdle race.
  3. Dr T J Eckleburg (IRE): Found class 2 hurdles company too tough on stable debut. Best watched today as not obviously bred for chasing.
  4. Elios Dor (FR): Won a moderate class 3 race at Stratford in June. Poor jumping display in the latest race but only 1lb higher tonight.
  5. Gold Link (FR): Still winless but showed promise in a hurdle race at this course. May benefit from recent wind surgery.
  6. Lucky Lover Boy (IRE): Four-time hurdles winner in the second half of 2022. Well-treated to figure in this race if taking to chasing.
  7. Trapista (FR): Placed in two novice handicaps at Huntingdon but struggled in the latest hurdle race. Needs more pace to perform well.
  8. Vinnie The Hoddie (IRE): Mixed record when fresh but has won after a break before. Races off a lower mark today but recent form has been below a winning level.

Based on this analysis, Captain Ivan has the highest rating and has shown strong recent form. Elios Dor has a good record at this course and is not far off in terms of ratings. Lucky Lover Boy has a solid hurdle record and could transition well to chasing. Gold Link may benefit from recent wind surgery and could be a contender. The other runners have some concerns or are yet to show their best form.

  6. Annie Nail (IRE) – 247.6
  7. Joyful Kit (IRE) – 180.0

Let’s assess the comments for each runner:

  1. Annie Nail (IRE): Often runs well but doesn’t appear to be improving. Third in this race a year ago and claims on her best efforts. Need better than her third-place finish at Southwell last month.
  2. Callin Baton Rouge (IRE): Making chasing/handicap debut. Showed promise in two novice hurdles. Unexposed and worth monitoring in the market.
  3. Cotton End (IRE): Not the force of old. 0-7 record over fences. Well beaten over this course and distance in the latest race. Others look more persuasive.
  4. Dicey Rielly (IRE): Well beaten in the last chase but won two of three outings over hurdles since. Strong claims if she can transfer her recent good form back to chasing.
  5. Joyful Kit (IRE): Maiden after 22 starts. Unplaced in six outings for the current yard. Reservations on chasing debut.
  6. Princess Midnight: Progressive last year, won this race off a lower weight. Ran solid races this summer, including a defeat against a subsequent winner. Likely to give her best shot as a front-runner.
  7. Somewhat Cloudy (IRE): Won on chasing debut but hasn’t progressed much. Well held in the latest race after wind surgery. May need the step up in trip to unlock some improvement.

Based on this analysis, Dicey Rielly has the highest rating and has shown good form in recent hurdle races. Princess Midnight has a solid track record and has been consistent. Callin Baton Rouge is unexposed and could be a contender in her chasing/handicap debut. The other runners have specific strengths and weaknesses.

  14. Away To Milan (IRE) – 228.5
  15. Harveys Quay (IRE) – 219.4
  16. Misstheamaria (IRE) – 176.3

Let’s assess the comments for each runner:

  1. Arabian King: Four-time flat winner. Won a C&D maiden hurdle last year. Below his best in two runs in Britain. Not a bad run at Tipperary on stable debut.
  2. Away To Milan: Seems to be on the upgrade. Respectable fourth at Tipperary. Won at Wexford. Not certain to be as effective at 2m4f.
  3. Centurion Steel (IRE): Winning hurdler/chaser. Failed to complete the course over fences in his last two starts. Confidence boost needed.
  4. Cozone: Won over 2m at Dundalk. Unplaced in both flat starts this season. Due to run over hurdles at this race.
  5. Fiveaftermidnight (IRE): Competed solely over fences last season. Good form over hurdles in the previous season, including a win at Ballinrobe. Trainer also runs Away In Milan.
  6. Harveys Quay (IRE): Running over fences since good runs over hurdles last November. Worth a market check.
  7. Imperial Ruler (IRE): Fairyhouse maiden winner over 2m. Fell at the first in his first run in almost a year. Still early days for him.
  8. Misstheamaria (IRE): Struggled over 3m on handicap debut. Hard to make a case for her.
  9. Navigator Jack (IRE): Listowel win came on soft ground. Showed ability on good going when second at Bellewstown. Stays further, but this distance may suit.
  10. Nazine (IRE): Only win in a maiden at Navan. Recent run at Tipperary after a year off. May benefit from blinkers.
  11. Our Bobby (IRE): Won on soft ground last summer. Showed liking for good ground and this trip when winning at Bellewstown. Higher weight now.
  12. Penny Jar (IRE): Made progress over hurdles last year with consecutive wins. Excellent run in defeat. Reappearance on the flat was promising. Further improvement possible.
  13. Rock On Pedro (IRE): Flat winner at a modest level. Good second on handicap hurdle run. Moderate fourth in a maiden recently.
  14. Silvertown (IRE): 1-17 over hurdles. Placed six times. Competing over fences without much success.
  15. Tory Reel (IRE): Won a juvenile maiden hurdle. Creditable third on the flat. Relatively unexposed as a hurdler.
  16. Vale Of Glory (IRE): Won this race in 2022. Scored again at Punchestown. Unplaced run at Downpatrick. Higher weight than last year.

Based on this analysis, Penny Jar has the highest rating and has shown progress over hurdles with consecutive wins. Our Bobby has shown good form on similar ground and trip. Vale Of Glory is the defending champion in this race and has a chance to perform well. Arabian King has potential based on his previous victories and could improve on his recent run. The other runners have specific strengths and weaknesses.

6.10 Worcester (9 runners)
JIC Transport Handicap Hurdle
2m4f

Based on the ratings provided, here’s the ranking of the runners from highest to lowest:

  1. Pencreek (FR) – 536.9
  2. Galata Bridge – 453.9
  3. Rock The House (IRE) – 441.1
  4. Charlie My Boy (IRE) – 408.6
  5. Locks Corner (IRE) – 358.8
  6. Esperti (IRE) – 336.8
  7. Mr Tambourine Man (IRE) – 315.9
  8. Allihies (IRE) – 310.2
  9. Edison Kent (IRE) – 227.6

Let’s assess the comments for each runner:

  1. Allihies (IRE): Jumped to the left but beaten on merit in a C&D novice race. Unexposed enough to do better.
  2. Charlie My Boy (IRE): Career-best performances in his last four hurdle starts. Won at Newton Abbot and Aintree despite hanging under pressure. May still be improving.
  3. Edison Kent (IRE): Below par in his last four outings for Jessie Harrington. Little offered on seasonal/stable debut. Difficult to fancy in a deeper-looking race.
  4. Esperti (IRE): Fair efforts in Irish maiden/novice hurdles last summer, including a win at Kilbeggan. Disappointing seasonal/stable debut. Hopes rest on wind surgery and hood.
  5. Galata Bridge: Settling better in recent runs, resulting in a win at Uttoxeter and a class 2 second over this C&D. Little room for error off a career-high mark, but the drop in class is a positive.
  6. Locks Corner (IRE): Ran to his mark with a third-place finish at Market Rasen. Cheekpieces not used, which were previously successful. Moderate returns when blinkers were tried.
  7. Mr Tambourine Man (IRE): Struggling over longer trips recently. Back on the same mark as his previous 2m4f win. Moderate performances when blinkers were used.
  8. Pencreek (FR): Has wins between June and August. Figures of 312 returning from a long break. Won’t necessarily need the run. Trying to cash in on a lower hurdles mark. Decent record with the jockey Luca Morgan.
  9. Rock The House (IRE): Completed a hat-trick recently on galloping 2m4f tracks. Career-high mark to deal with. May not want appreciable rain.

Based on this analysis, Pencreek has the highest rating and has a good chance to perform well, especially considering the decent record with the jockey. Galata Bridge has been settling better and dropping in class, which could work in its favor. Rock The House is in good form with a recent hat-trick, but the career-high mark and weather conditions may impact its chances.

Aer Lingus College Football Classic
Meld Stakes (Group 3)

Based on the ratings provided, here’s the ranking of the runners from highest to lowest:

  1. Trustyourinstinct (IRE) – 542.0
  2. Alfred Munnings (IRE) – 535.0
  3. Bold Discovery (USA) – 512.5
  4. Empress Of Beauty (FR) – 454.2
  5. Self Belief (IRE) – 415.8
  6. Pale Iris (IRE) – 324.0

Let’s assess the comments for each runner:

  1. Alfred Munnings (IRE): Impressive debut win as a 2-year-old but had an injury after disappointing in the Chesham Stakes. Beaten 10 lengths in a Curragh Group 3 last time, but expected to improve from that run.
  2. Bold Discovery (USA): Won a Naas maiden on debut. Ran well in Group 3 races and produced a career-best to win a Curragh Listed race over 1 mile last time. The extra furlong is a question, but still considered a big player.
  3. Empress Of Beauty (FR): Won a Gowran maiden on debut and finished second in a fillies’ Listed race at Navan over a longer distance. Likely still improving and cannot be ruled out, although this race demands more.
  4. Pale Iris (IRE): Out of her depth in this grade. Non-runner in a previous race.
  5. Self Belief (IRE): Made progress last year with a maiden win and a Listed win over 1m2f. However, has regressed in three starts this season and was well beaten behind Alfred Munnings last time. Difficult to fancy now.
  6. Trustyourinstinct (IRE): Progressive colt with wins in a Curragh maiden and a Gowran conditions race over longer distances. Ready for a step-up in class and respected, but needs to improve to compete successfully.

Based on this analysis, Trustyourinstinct has the highest rating and is ready for a step-up in class, making it a strong contender. Alfred Munnings had a disappointing run last time but is expected to improve. Bold Discovery has been in good form and can be a major player, although the extra furlong is a question. Empress Of Beauty is still improving but faces a tougher challenge. Self Belief has regressed recently, and Pale Iris is out of her depth in this grade.

  1. No Way Pedro (IRE) – 497.1
  2. Pollypockett (IRE) – 350.7
  3. Bluebella – 343.0
  4. Loved Out (IRE) – 337.9
  5. Indelible Spin (IRE) – 256.4
  6. Inspector Lynley – 204.7
  7. Perryville (IRE) – 197.5
  8. Solid Fuel – 195.4
  9. Our Dylan (IRE) – 172.4
  10. Blitz Spirit (IRE) – 155.6
  11. Dannystory (IRE) – 144.6

Let’s assess the comments for each runner:

  1. Blitz Spirit (IRE): Maiden who fell in her latest start but was keeping on before the fall. Possible contender if unharmed from the fall.
  2. Bluebella: Improved since the addition of a tongue-strap. Winner over 2m at Worcester and second twice since then, including over this trip at Uttoxeter. Entitled to be a strong contender.
  3. Dannystory (IRE): Maiden who pulled up in his last two starts over fences. Little appeal in returning to hurdling with a tongue-strap added.
  4. Indelible Spin (IRE): Showed no real threat in maiden hurdles and didn’t improve in his handicap debut, finishing eighth.
  5. Inspector Lynley: Unplaced in all seven starts but showed improvement with a fourth-place finish over C&D last month. Needs further improvement but has something to build on.
  6. Loved Out (IRE): Finished a close second at Ffos Las in May, and the winner of that race has won twice since. Yard in good form. Didn’t perform as well in the next two starts and struggled with chasing at Newton Abbot. Still of interest based on previous efforts.
  7. No Way Pedro (IRE): Arrived in Britain as a 20-race maiden but broke the maiden status with a win over 2m at Worcester last month. Followed up with a win in a Southwell seller. Despite a significant increase in handicap mark, considered a strong contender.
  8. Our Dylan (IRE): Maiden after 24 starts, but placed in points races in the spring. Bounced back from a poor run with a fair fifth-place finish at Uttoxeter. Needs to find more to secure a win.
  9. Perryville (IRE): Maiden who was unplaced in three handicaps in the spring and had a disappointing effort in a maiden race recently. Has raced over various distances, and the introduction of cheekpieces needs to bring about improvement.
  10. Pollypockett (IRE): Showed promise in two attempts after nearly a year off and secured a narrow victory at Market Rasen last month. May still have room for improvement, but this race will likely be more competitive. Up 3lb.
  11. Solid Fuel: Maiden with better efforts in his latest two starts, but needs significant improvement to secure a first win.

Based on this analysis, No Way Pedro has the highest rating and has shown good form with consecutive wins. Bluebella has been in good form since the addition of a tongue-strap and is likely to be a strong contender. Loved Out has shown potential and could bounce back to form. The other contenders would require significant improvement to challenge the top contenders.
