If you’re a fan of Sporting Life’s premium Racecard+ feature, you might be wondering how to access it on your mobile phone. After testing both the Android app and the mobile browser version, we’ve uncovered a key difference in accessibility.
What We Found
Racecard+ is accessible on mobile browsers when you log into Sporting Life via Google Chrome, Safari, or another browser.
The Sporting Life Android app does not offer the full Racecard+ experience—it includes standard racecards with Timeform star ratings and comments, but not the extra details found on the website.
Racecard+ Features (Browser Version)
When accessing Sporting Life Plus through a mobile browser, you get:
Horse silks, jockey, and trainer details
Timeform ratings and star assessments
Extra insights such as “Top Rated in Race” and “Hot Trainer”
Odds and forecast data
A verdict highlighting key contenders
For example, in the 13:50 Naas race on 23 February 2025, we saw detailed Timeform ratings like “131p” next to Kalix Delabarriere, information that was missing from the app version.
Why Doesn’t the App Have Racecard+?
Despite being regularly updated, the Sporting Life Android app seems to prioritise core racecard data without the full Plus-tier insights. This could be a strategic choice to drive web traffic or a technical limitation. A social media post from 16 February 2025 hinted at “web-only” features, suggesting this split might be intentional.
How to Access Racecard+ on Mobile
If you want the full Sporting Life Plus experience:
1. Use your mobile browser and log into Sporting Life (sportinglife.com).
2. Bookmark the Racecard+ page for easy access.
3. Avoid relying on the app for full Plus features—it currently lacks key details.
Can the App Be Updated?
If you’d prefer to see Racecard+ integrated into the app, you might consider reaching out to Sporting Life via X (@SportingLife) or their support channels. A future update could bring Racecard+ into the app, but for now, the mobile browser remains the best option.
Final Verdict
Sporting Life Plus does work on mobile, but only through a browser. If you’re happy with this workaround, you can enjoy all the premium insights without issue. If you prefer app access, it might be worth contacting Sporting Life to see if an update is planned.
For now, logging in through your browser is the way to go!
