19:30 Wolverhampton – Best Odds Guaranteed At BetMGM Handicap (Class 6, 1m 142y)
A fairly competitive Class 6 handicap where Charlatan (5/2) and Just Typical (5/2) lead the betting. Charlatan was arguably unlucky last time when finishing second over this course and distance, running from the same mark here. He pulled well clear of the third that day and, with a clearer run, should be right in the mix again.
Just Typical comes into this race off the back of a win at Newcastle just five days ago. He’s clearly in good heart but does have to carry a 5lb penalty, which may tip the balance in Charlatan’s favour.
Of the others, Pessoa (4/1) looks a fair each-way play. He’s been running consistently and cheekpieces go on for the first time, which could give him an extra edge.
Selection: Charlatan (5/2) – Win
Each-Way Play: Pessoa (4/1)

20:00 Wolverhampton – Extra Winnings With BetUK Acca Club Handicap (Class 5, 1m4f 51y)
This is a Class 5 middle-distance handicap, and there’s a decent mix of in-form runners and some well-handicapped types.
Star Time (3/1) is the top-rated runner in the field and has Rossa Ryan booked, which is always a plus. He was well below par at Lingfield last time, but if he bounces back, he’s got a great chance at this level.
Aiming High (3/1) looks the biggest danger, having run a solid third at Chelmsford over 10f. That race suggested he needs a bit further, so the step back up to 1m4f looks ideal.
For each-way players, Sense Of Worth (5/1) could hit the frame. He won here last week and only carries a 4lb penalty, which might not be enough to stop him.
Selection: Star Time (3/1) – Win
Alternative: Aiming High (3/1)
Each-Way Play: Sense Of Worth (5/1)

20:30 Wolverhampton – 30 In Free Bets With BetUK Classified Stakes (Class 6, 5f 21y)
A low-grade sprint, but these races often produce some of the best betting opportunities.
Maveric’s Magic (9/4) heads the market and rightly so after running a strong second at Southwell last time. He’s still a maiden, but this looks his best chance yet to get his head in front. The first-time hood and tongue strap could help sharpen him up.
Second Collection (4/1) is a four-time course winner, and his latest run can be forgiven after being caught wide. He’s better than that and well-handicapped at these weights.
At 13/2, Spanish Angel could be the value play. A three-time C&D winner, he was unlucky last time when not getting a clear run. If things fall right for him, he won’t be far away.
Selection: Maveric’s Magic (9/4) – Win
Each-Way Play: Spanish Angel (13/2)
Saver Bet: Second Collection (4/1)

Final Thoughts
Tonight’s card at Wolverhampton might not be packed with quality, but there are plenty of betting angles to explore. Charlatan (19:30) and Maveric’s Magic (20:30) look the strongest win bets, while Pessoa (19:30) and Spanish Angel (20:30) offer decent each-way value.
As always, Wolverhampton favours track position, so horses drawn well with early speed could have a big advantage. Hopefully, we’ll find a few winners along the way!
