🔶 Strongest Contender – ADDRAGOOLE
It’s difficult to look past ADDRAGOOLE, who ran to a much higher level than the bare form suggests when bolting up by 8 lengths on his handicap debut at Clonmel. That was visually impressive, but also backed up by the clock — a solid overall figure for the grade and one that marks him out as a long way ahead of this field on adjusted ratings.
Gavin Cromwell’s yard continues in red-hot form, and with nothing in here remotely near him on private figures, he’s a strong win proposition. Market may still be underestimating him — anything north of 6/4 still looks value.
🔷 Biggest Danger – CAPPUCINO
The most plausible threat comes from CAPPUCINO, who has shaped better than finishing positions suggest in two deeper contests at Leopardstown. He’s better suited by this slightly easier company, and there’s substance to his Punchestown maiden win earlier in the season. Conditions are fine and he looks one of the few with the potential to run to a figure that might at least make Addragoole work.
🔸 Each-Way Shout – FIVEONEFIVE
FIVEONEFIVE makes some appeal at double-figure odds. He bounced back to form behind Clarens last time and ran better than the result, racing wide and finishing off nicely. That performance was well above what he’d shown previously this season, and a repeat could see him sneak into the places, especially with doubts over several rivals. His mark remains workable, and this track/trip should suit ideally.
