Friday Fixtures Until 11th April Handicap (1m2½f, 0-60, AWT)
Pace Forecast: Strong
With a solid early gallop expected, this contest should reward those with proven stamina and the ability to clock strong closing sectionals – and that’s where the speed figures give us a sharp edge.
🔝 Top of the figures and clear standout is DYNAMITE DEFENSE. He’s posted consistent high marks (61–67) across recent runs, with a career-best 67.56 at Dundalk over a similar trip. Not only does he bring the best recent number into this, but he also tops average and max figures for the track and going, making him the most trustworthy on this surface. With a strong pace to aim at, he looks ideally placed to pounce late.
🐎 CHOPSTICKS is no back number either. He’s a model of consistency, with a recent 61.82 rating showing he’s in fine form. His best speed has also come here at Dundalk, and he’s shaped as if this extended trip could bring out even more. A strong each-way angle if the favourite falters.
🎯 HIGHER KINGDOM is the wildcard. He’s posted some monster peak figures (Max 79.03), better than anything else in the field – but he’s hard to catch right. If he’s on a going day and settles into a rhythm, he could blast past them late, though his inconsistency tempers confidence.
