A low-grade but open contest for three-year-olds, where tactical positioning and adaptability to the conditions could prove decisive.

Race Overview:
A field of twelve lines up for this modest 0–60 handicap on yielding turf (soft in places), with a weak early pace forecast and a noted draw bias against low numbers. The absence of a clear front-runner may see it run at a crawl early, placing emphasis on tactical agility and mid-race positioning. Several come here off promising recent efforts, while a few others are trying turf after AW campaigns.

Strongest Contender:
Onemoredance (draw 10, J: Ben Coen, T: J. P. Murtagh)
This filly shaped far better than her finishing position suggested at Leopardstown last time, weaving her way through a huge field to finish eighth but beaten just three lengths. That form is working out well and she appeals as a lightly raced improver from a yard that’s had a fine start to the campaign. A wide draw in this case may help her avoid traffic, and she should benefit from a steadily-run race. Still unexposed over this trip and surface.
Notably, trainer Johnny Murtagh has a strong record at Tipperary in recent seasons and is one to respect in these 3yo handicaps.

Main Dangers:
Movin And Groovin
TimeWise Top Ranked 🏇
(draw 5, J: Adam Caffrey, T: Adrian McGuinness)
A consistent performer over the winter at Dundalk and now makes her turf return. Her record includes a win over 6f, and she’s been staying on nicely over a mile, shaping as if this longer trip could suit. She’s tactically versatile and well drawn to slot in just behind the leaders. Timeform notes her as a “modest handicapper” but one who is fit, in form, and clearly well-handled. Adrian McGuinness is another trainer in form, and this filly has every chance of being involved if translating her AW form.
—
Letters of Love (draw 2, J: D. B. McMonagle, T: Joseph O’Brien)
Improved for the switch to handicaps at Bellewstown, where she stayed on nicely into fifth over a mile. She’s still learning but has a likeable pedigree, and there’s a chance she may take a step forward again. The concern would be the draw (2) given the current bias, and her usual hold-up style could leave her with work to do if they don’t go much of a pace.
—
Esque Elegance (draw 6, J: Ross Coakley, T: John McConnell)
Creditable effort last time out in cheekpieces when fourth at Dundalk, and Timeform’s pace model highlights her as one who could benefit from a slowly-run race. Still a maiden, but shaping as though she may yet find her level in a contest like this.

Other Notables:
Whats New returns from a break having been gelded. Previously placed on the AW and bred to stay this trip.
Highway Sixty One has the services of Colin Keane and hinted at some minor improvement last time.
Cala Bonita, another longshot, has yet to show much but comes from a staying family and may appreciate the step up in trip.

Trends & Trainer Notes:
Trainers with winners of this race in past seasons are not immediately present, but J. P. Murtagh, Joseph O’Brien, and Adrian McGuinness all have strong recent strike rates at Tipperary in 3yo handicaps.
There is a distinct pace and draw bias at this course: front-runners tend to struggle when the ground is soft and the pace is weak, while wide draws (7–12) often outperform low-drawn horses in slowly run races over this trip.
—
Verdict:
Onemoredance stands out as the one with the most compelling form and potential, especially off the back of that Leopardstown effort. Movin And Groovin is a major threat if handling the switch to turf and shaping as if the trip could suit. Letters of Love and Esque Elegance appeal as place contenders in a race where positioning may matter more than outright class.
With conditions unpredictable and no standout pace angle, it’s a race where mid-race tactics and late acceleration are likely to determine the outcome.
