- Profile: 350,000Y purchase, by Wootton Bassett. Made promising reappearance when third in a Kempton minor event, his first start since October and first run in cheekpieces. Still learning but should progress with that under his belt.
- Tactical Fit: Usually held up, which may be a disadvantage given weak pace setup, though potential to improve if more prominently placed.
- Note: No previous wins in this race for yard, but stable has improved strike rate with 3yo handicappers into May.
CRISTO (Timeform Rating: 99) – 7/10

- Profile: Strong front-running winner at Chelmsford twice this spring. Up in class but doing it with authority and showing versatility on AW surfaces. Stays 1¼m well.
- Tactical Fit: May find front-running less effective here if pace collapses. Will need to control fractions or find a tow.
- Trainer Record: No win in this race but prolific with 3yo handicappers.

- Profile: Won debut at Haydock (good form) but failed to fire in two subsequent outings including in a valuable Longchamp sales race. Returns after gelding and gets first-time cheekpieces. Bred to stay this far.

- Trainer Note: Palmer does have a good record with first-time headgear (Smart Stat: +£30 to £1 level stake). Market support significant.

- Profile: Maiden winner at Kempton last season, held his ground in a Sandown handicap behind Fifth Column. More exposed than some of these, and shaping like a borderline 1m performer trying to stretch out.
