Pace & Tactics
Pace forecast: Strong. This could be run at a relentless gallop, with Ice Opera, Dayzee, and Odin Legacy likely to press the pace early. Historically, prominent racers are well suited at Windsor over this trip, especially on fast ground. Horses like Odin Legacy and Crystal Mariner should be well positioned. Educator, who typically comes from further back, may find himself at a tactical disadvantage.

Top Contenders & Ratings (TFR)
KINGKEER (TFR 90p) – Rating: 8.5/10
Impressive C&D winner a fortnight ago and still looks well-in off 73. The way he travelled and quickened suggests further improvement is likely. Tom Marquand booked again.
Tissue: 10/3
CAVALRY CALL (TFR 89) – Rating: 8/10
Progressive profile on AW and turf. Won convincingly at Chelmsford under a positive ride, and remains on the same mark here. A strong pace will suit.
Tissue: 9/2
ODIN LEGACY (TFR 91) – Rating: 7.5/10
Made all at Salisbury in a small field and has the early pace to get involved again. Likely to be thereabouts if the pace doesn’t collapse.
Tissue: 13/2
EDUCATOR (TFR 92) – Rating: 7.5/10
Returned from a break and wind surgery to score nicely at Lingfield. Still well treated on peak form, but pace setup might not favour him here.
Tissue: 7/1
CARNIVAL DAY (TFR 90) – Rating: 7.5/10
Shaped better than bare result at Epsom, finishing well after hanging. Steady improver and trainer in form. Place claims with a cleaner run.
Tissue: 8/1
CRYSTAL MARINER (TFR 91) – Rating: 7.5/10
Went down narrowly to Cavalry Call last time. Reopposes on 1 lb better terms and has strong form at the trip. Tends to race freely but holds a solid chance.
Tissue: 8/1

Lively Outsiders & Profiles
FAST STEPS (TFR 90) – Rating: 7/10
Shaped okay off a layoff and could strip fitter. Booking of Oisin Murphy catches the eye, and he’s capable of going close on his day.
Tissue: 10/1
FIRST OFFICER (TFR 90) – Rating: 6.5/10
Ran creditably on return and is a previous Windsor scorer. Others may have more finishing speed, but he’s consistent and goes well on quick ground.
Tissue: 12/1
MACARI (TFR 85) – Rating: 6/10
Won last week under a handy ride but that was in a small field and steps up in grade here under a penalty. Trainer has a good record with single runners.
Tissue: 14/1
XIOMARA (TFR 89) – Rating: 6/10
Likely to come forward for seasonal reappearance. Maiden winner in France and may yet find a bit of improvement. Market check advised.
Tissue: 16/1
DAYZEE (TFR 87§) – Rating: 5/10
One-paced and unreliable. Refused to race in the past and doesn’t appeal from wide draw in a deep field.
Tissue: 33/1
ICE OPERA (TFR 84) – Rating: 4.5/10
Ex-Irish maiden now with Grace Harris. Outclassed in this company and better watched.
Tissue: 50/1

Trainer & Market Notes
Kingkeer represents Hughie Morrison, who often excels with stayers at this track.
Cavalry Call comes from Simon & Ed Crisford, striking at 20% with 10f+ runners.
Educator showed benefit of a breathing op last time – monitor for further support.
Market should be watched for Macari, whose trainer Sheena West is profitable with solo flat runners (+£36.01 to £1 level stakes).
—
Each-Way Angles
With 12 runners, each-way betting is viable. Crystal Mariner and Carnival Day look dependable for a place, and Cavalry Call appeals on consistency.

Verdict: Kingkeer looks progressive and should be hard to stop if reproducing his recent C&D effort. Cavalry Call and Crystal Mariner bring solid AW form across, while Educator lurks on a workable mark if the race doesn’t get away from him early. Watch for sustained support on any of the returners.
