Pace and Tactical Setup
There’s a strong pace predicted, with prominent types like Preparations, Out On Friday and Action Plan expected to force it. At this trip on quick ground, those dropped out may struggle, but with a genuine gallop on the cards, it could play into the hands of closers such as Ragmans Corner and Solar Drive.

Top Contenders & Ratings (TFR)
PREPARATIONS (TFR 86) – Rating: 8.5/10
Progressive dual-purpose filly who won convincingly over this trip at Bellewstown before switching to hurdles. Fit from recent hurdling run and back on a workable Flat mark. Likely to race prominently again and stay well.
Tissue: 3/1
SOLAR DRIVE (TFR 87) – Rating: 8/10
Dual Cork winner in 2024 with strong staying form. Looked unsuited by a slow-starting, oddly-run race at Ballinrobe last time. Conditions look more in his favour here, and he’s a likely closer to keep onside.
Tissue: 9/2
RAGMANS CORNER (TFR 90) – Rating: 7.5/10
Fit from hurdling and lightly raced on the Flat. Good maiden form at Galway in 2024 and showed ability over timber. Has the back form and the profile to make a big impact if ready.
Tissue: 11/2
OZARK DAZE (TFR 89) – Rating: 7.5/10
Consistent but winless type who ran a solid third at Ballinrobe on stable debut. Steps up in trip and has hinted at stamina. Place claims if the pace isn’t too hot early.
Tissue: 6/1

Each-Way Outsiders
GOTTA CATCH’EM ALL (TFR 89) – Rating: 6.5/10
Often well-backed and ran respectably at Curragh earlier this spring. Poor latest effort at Navan, but quick turnaround and favourable draw suggest he could go well if settling better.
Tissue: 7/1
NANS VIEW (TFR 84) – Rating: 6/10
Dual winner on softer ground last backend. Shaped as though needing the run at the Curragh last time. Ground may be quicker than ideal, but not dismissed if coming on for reappearance.
Tissue: 16/1

Remaining Runners
MATT CONNOR (TFR 85+) – Rating: 5.5/10
Needed the run at Navan and possibly still finding his form. Fair form in early 2024 but others more reliable in current context.
Tissue: 20/1
OUT ON FRIDAY (TFR 80+) – Rating: 5/10
Veteran course specialist but regressive profile since win here last summer. Will likely go forward but hasn’t shown much in recent runs.
Tissue: 20/1
ACTION PLAN (TFR 85) – Rating: 5/10
Best form was last year at Gowran. Well beaten at Limerick latest. Difficult to recommend based on recent efforts.
Tissue: 25/1

Verdict:
Preparations has momentum on her side and appeals most, while Solar Drive is a strong each-way contender if the race sets up for a closer. Ragmans Corner brings dual-purpose potential and could improve again. Keep an eye on support for Gotta Catch’em All from a handy draw.
