Pace and Draw Angles
Timeform forecasts an extreme pace, with several habitual front-runners in the line-up. Goodwood’s 5f course generally favours those racing prominently, but this setup may instead benefit those who can track and pounce, especially drawn middle to high. Horses like Twilight Fun and Moulin Booj, who tend to sit off the pace, could be ideally placed.

Strongest Contenders
Michaela’s Boy (TFR 103) – Running consistently well this year, including a Lingfield win in January. Fourth at Epsom last time from a poor draw suggests he’s still in form. Likely to race up with the pace. Has run well off similar marks.
Miss Show Off (TFR 100) – In-form filly who won impressively at Salisbury last time. Has the pace to get a position, and Clive Cox’s sprinters can stay hot when returning quickly. Worth noting Cox trained a recent winner of this race (Fair Wind, 2024).
Enchanting (TFR 101) – CD winner and multiple scorer at this track in 2024. Below form on final start last season at York and returns from a 224-day break. Market should guide.

Main Dangers
Moulin Booj (TFR 101) – Hard-knocking sort who was just touched off at Musselburgh last time. Strong pace suits, and his profile suggests he’s running at a consistent level. One to note.
Marching Mac (TFR 102) – Very productive 2024 campaign, winning five races including on soft ground and at this trip. Absent 198 days, but if primed, a major threat on past form.
Almaty Star (TFR 105) – Capable sprinter who was below form last time at Epsom but ran well in defeat prior. May get taken on early, but if handling the pressure, could run into a place.
—
Interesting Outsiders
Twilight Fun (TFR 101) – Winner at Chelmsford in February. Poor showing last time at Epsom but has a style that could suit how this race unfolds. Returns after a 31-day break.
Kiss And Run (TFR 104) – Lightly raced at 4, with past wins here and at Windsor. On seasonal reappearance, shaped well at Bath. Another pace angle, but no shock if sharper now.
Alcazan (TFR 99) – Exposed but has form at the course and ran her best race for a while when third over 7f at Lingfield. Back at 5f today and well-handicapped on past efforts.

Trainer Trends
Clive Cox (Miss Show Off) saddled Fair Wind to win this race in 2024.
Course specialists include Enchanting, Kiss And Run, and Alcazan – all CD winners.

Market Advice
Keep an eye on Enchanting, Marching Mac, and Mc Loven, who return from 90+ day layoffs.
Watch for Miss Show Off and Michaela’s Boy if backed again quickly — these sprinters can string wins together when hitting form.
Kiss And Run could come forward from her reappearance and would be interesting if the market speaks positively.

Each-Way Angles
With 13 runners declared, there is place value. Moulin Booj, Twilight Fun, and Rocking Ends appeal for each-way purposes given their setups against an aggressive pace.
