Forecast: Very strong pace, with multiple habitual front-runners. While 6f at the Curragh usually favours those racing handily, such a pace could favour closers drawn high, especially with the bias favouring high numbers. That puts hold-up runners like Keke and Collective Power in a strong tactical spot, while the likes of Mickey The Steel could be vulnerable up front.

Strongest Contenders

Keke (TFR 113) – Won four times in 2024, including a dominant success over CD. Well supported on seasonal return when fourth in a hot Curragh sprint, picking through traffic from off the pace. Stays strongly, acts on any going, and drawn ideally. Very much the one to beat.

Collective Power (TFR 112) – Very unlucky at Naas latest when short of room at a key stage. Previously an authoritative winner on the AW. Drawn high, likely strong pace to suit his style, and races off a competitive mark. Interesting with 7lb claimer aboard.

Heavenly Power (TFR 109) – CD winner who should be sharper after his reappearance. Handles all conditions and looks nicely weighted. Another from the Edward Lynam yard, who also runs Keke and Collective Power.

Main Dangers

Apache Outlaw (TFR 111) – Ran a stormer in the AW Sprint Final at Newcastle, not beaten far. Campaigned with credit last year, and has run well in top handicaps here. Capable of going close if getting cover early.

Moltophino (TFR 109) – Maiden but not lacking ability, going very close in a big-field Naas handicap last time. Lightly raced, open to further improvement, and drawn well in stall 2 if not caught in traffic.

Ohailbhic (TFR 108) – Gelded over the winter and shaped well on reappearance behind Tokenomics. Eye-catching profile, and improvement expected from a decent draw.

Interesting Outsiders

I Am Superman (TFR 111) – Group performer at his peak, now back in handicap company. Shaped well at Naas and could have one of these in him. Handles all ground and likely to be ridden forward.

Daamberdiplomat (TFR 111) – Back from Newcastle where he shaped better than result in a deep field. Course winner, gets in off a reasonable mark, and could be finishing fast.

Little Queenie (TFR 108) – Consistent sort who has run well here before. Wouldn’t be a surprise to see her outrun her odds.
