Pace / Draw Angles
Pace forecast is even, and with no strong draw bias evident historically over this straight 6f at the Curragh, positioning is likely to come down to pace rather than post. Leaders should be fine so long as they don’t overdo it early. On current profiles, Albert Einstein and Power Blue have shown some early dash, while Andab looks like a late closer and may benefit if there’s a strong finish.

Strongest Contenders
Albert Einstein (105p) – Aidan O’Brien colt, looked a classy prospect winning a Naas maiden (5.9f) as 1/2f, asserting well late. Half-brother to Carracci, from a family linked to Giant’s Causeway. Timeform ‘Horse In Focus’ and retains the highest adjusted rating (105p). Respectable trainer strike-rate at the Curragh (21%). One of two from O’Brien.
Andab (107p) – Timeform top-rated at 107p after an explosive C&D debut when forging 4¾ lengths clear. Bred for this level – a full brother to Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner Victoria Road and by a high-class sprinting mare. Looks open to substantial improvement and stable form is good. Also marked as ‘Horse in Focus’.

Main Dangers
First Approach (101p) – Stablemate to Albert Einstein, also progressed notably from his debut to win a maiden at Naas (5f) last time. More of a grinder than flashy type but has solid claims for a place and could still improve.
Power Blue (106) – Has Listed form in the book and shaped better than the result last time when third to Lady Iman over 5f. Will stay 6f and rates a solid professional early type for a yard in good nick.

Interesting Outsiders
Miami Destination (86) – Landed a soft-ground maiden at 5f in March, but well held since. Not discounted if returning to that form, though needs to step up sharply on bare ratings.
Stonezilian (64) – Lightly raced, and the Timeform pace hint suggests she may not be suited by how this unfolds. Big leap required on known evidence.
She’s Too Kool (63) – No racecourse experience and pedigree leans more towards staying than sprinting. 250/1 for debut is a fair reflection of her chance on paper.

Significant Trends & Trainer Notes
Aidan O’Brien has trained two of the last eight winners, including Blackbeard (2022) and Arizona Blaze (2024).
Joseph O’Brien, trainer of Andab, has not won this in past 10 years but brings a notably well-bred and visually impressive prospect.
Horses debuting in this race are rare and usually outclassed, making She’s Too Kool an unlikely threat.
Look out for market support for any of the less exposed types, particularly Albert Einstein or First Approach, both off 15 days. No runners are returning from a layoff >90 days, so this angle is not relevant here.

This shapes as a high-quality early-season juvenile clash between two colts with black-type potential. Andab and Albert Einstein are the standout pair, both with strong pedigrees and excellent debut wins. Watch the market for a late swing between them.
