Strong
Pace Bias: Prominent racers usually fare best here, but the likely strong tempo could favour more patient types. This may compromise HAPPY JACKY, while JUMPING JET and CADATHARLA could be better suited by how the race unfolds.

1. Strongest Contenders

WESTERN FOLD (TFR 146) – Career-best win at Tipperary latest, jumping and travelling with authority. Looks to be improving with experience and should relish a true-run race over this trip. From a yard that targets races like this and is well-treated off 138.

HAPPY JACKY (TFR 151) – Eye-catching in defeat when third to Cadatharla at Killarney but now gets an 8lb pull at the weights and may appreciate the slight drop back in trip. Has a touch of class, but the pace scenario could test him if forced to lead into strong fractions again.

CADATHARLA (TFR 147) – Recent narrow winner of the Killarney National in a driving finish. Up in the weights but arrives in form and has proven stamina. Could be thereabouts if handling the pressure of a strongly run race.

2. Main Dangers & Key Outsiders

A PENNY A HUNDRED (TFR 146) – Solid mare from Willie Mullins’ yard who ran well in a Listed novice handicap at Cheltenham. Tracks the pace and stays this trip well. A 7lb claimer helps her cause.

LINDEN ARDEN (TFR 150) – Strong traveller who would’ve likely gone close at Tipperary last time but for falling 4 out. Lightly raced and may still be improving.

NEVERADULLMOMENT (TFR 148) – Unexposed chaser who needed his return at Punchestown. Smart on his day and runs off the same mark as when winning well at Galway in the autumn. Watch the market after his recent pipe-opener.

MINT BOY (TFR 149) – Thrown into the deep end in the Irish Grand National where he didn’t stay. Reverts to more suitable trip and remains with potential if handled patiently.

3. Interesting Longshots & Layoff Notes

TOSS AGAIN (TFR ?) – 150 days off – 4th in this race last year and is down the weights. Not easy to catch right but has some solid back form. Watch for any support.

DRUMGILL (TFR 148) – Lightly raced chaser who won nicely at Limerick but was well beaten at Punchestown. Returns to a more realistic level and could sneak into the places.

NOW WHERE OR WHEN (TFR 140) – Very inconsistent but retains ability. May appreciate drop in class, but hard to trust.

4. Trainers with Past Winners of This Race

Gordon Elliott (WESTERN FOLD, JUMPING JET – 2 past winners)

John Patrick Ryan (DRUMGILL) – regularly targets this Ballinrobe fixture.

Mark Fahey (HAPPY JACKY) – horse has already run well in local staying chases.

Note: Keep an eye on market confidence for long-absentees such as TOSS AGAIN (150 days), NEVERADULLMOMENT (return run), and JUMPING JET if declared. Unexposed runners off breaks can be well tuned at this meeting.

6. Each-Way Angles

With 19 runners, each-way value is solid.
LINDEN ARDEN, A PENNY A HUNDRED, and MINT BOY rate interesting at the prices and profile well for a late run in a strongly run race.

7. Tissue Estimate (100%)

Western Fold – 6/1

Happy Jacky – 13/2

Cadatharla – 7/1

Linden Arden – 8/1

A Penny A Hundred – 9/1

Mint Boy – 10/1

Neveradullmoment – 11/1

Sea Music – 12/1

Toss Again – 14/1

Drumgill – 16/1

Noble Birth – 16/1

Dancing Jeremy – 20/1

Outside The Door – 22/1

Now Where Or When – 25/1

Another Choice – 25/1

Lord Lariat – 33/1

Reserves (Must Be Obeyed, Kiltealy Park, Jumping Jet) – 33–50/1

Conclusion:
WESTERN FOLD looks to be progressing steadily and appeals most at the weights. HAPPY JACKY could reverse Killarney form with CADATHARLA on revised terms, while LINDEN ARDEN has unfinished business if jumping holds. NEVERADULLMOMENT and MINT BOY are others with value if bouncing back.
