1. Race Conditions, Pace & Draw Angles
This is a competitive 0–130 handicap hurdle over just shy of 2m5f on good ground. Sixteen runners are declared. The pace forecast is strong, with multiple confirmed front-runners including Littlebiggie and Down Around, likely setting a solid gallop. Hold-up runners will need cover and a clear run, especially as Listowel can suit prominent racers when the field strings out on better ground.

2. Strongest Contenders, Dangers, Outsiders & Profile Notes
Strongest Contenders
MISS CORBY (Adj. rating: 134) – Lightly raced and landed a notable punt at Ballinrobe on her handicap hurdle debut. Up in trip which should suit her pedigree. Open to further progress from a mark of 105 and carries potential upside in spades. Trainer Morris is selective with his handicap hurdlers.
HOWDOYALIKEHERHOME (132) – Gordon Elliott’s mare continues to hold her form well, having improved with each start this term. Well placed again after two solid recent efforts, including a win at Down Royal and third at Killarney. Stays well, acts on good to yielding ground and has been holding form in warm races.
LONG GONE (130) – Progressed to win a Tramore maiden last time, comfortably. Trainer D. Queally rarely travels without purpose. Has shaped like 2½m+ is what she wants and open to improvement.
Main Dangers
FREE FLOW (130) – A visually impressive winner at Thurles by 7 lengths. That was a slightly messy race and form could be inflated, but he showed a turn of foot. If able to settle off a likely strong pace, he’s of interest.
MEET MY LORELEY (130) – Returning from a break but shaped well last time at Thurles, closing late in a race not run to suit. Will need a strong pace, which she should get. Not one to ignore with Sean Flanagan booked.
BRILLIANT LIGHT (131) – Fit from a Flat campaign before a quiet return behind Howdoyalikeherhome. That should bring him on, and he’s previously placed in a Listowel handicap. Jockey booking catches the eye.
Interesting Outsiders
ROCKSTOWN GIRL (132) – Chasing didn’t suit last time; back over hurdles now. Earlier placed form in decent novice company. May be overpriced if bouncing back.
FAST FELIX (130) – Stays the trip, fair seasonal return, and figures okay at this level. Yet to win, but honest sort.
Hold-Up Types Needing Luck
MEET MY LORELEY and FREE FLOW typically come from off the pace.
CAFE CON LECHE is another hold-up horse, flattered at Cork but has failed to back it up since. The pace setup helps but recent form is erratic.
Trainers to Note
Gordon Elliott (Howdoyalikeherhome) remains in form and has a strong record at regional Irish festivals.
Barry Connell (Meet My Loreley) has a solid strike rate at this trip.

6. Summary
A warm handicap where Miss Corby stands out on profile and form. She’s open to improvement over this longer trip and is well drawn into a setup that should suit her running style. Howdoyalikeherhome is reliable and shaped nicely on both recent starts. Long Gone and Free Flow offer scope as improvers. Strong pace gives closers like Meet My Loreley a chance to pick up pieces late if ground doesn’t ride too quick. This is one where tracking the market closely—especially for those off breaks—is key.
