16:30 CHESTER – KIDS PASS FILLIES’ HANDICAP (Class 4, 0–85)Conditions: 6f 17y, Turf, 3yo only, 10 declared. Going: Good.

·

Pace Forecast: Strong.
Draw Bias: Low draws historically favoured at this trip and track. Early position is vital at Chester.

1. Pace/Draw Angles

With multiple forward-goers and prominent racers in the field—Ziggy’s Ariel, Nazuki, Glamour Show, and Mollie Foster—there’s potential for the leaders to overdo it. The rail (low) draw is an asset here, and horses able to secure a handy early spot from stalls 1–4 have historically fared best. Hold-up horses are disadvantaged unless they’re markedly well-in or get gaps.

2. Contenders, Dangers & Profile Notes

Top Contenders:

NAZUKI (Drawn 2 | Timeform adj. 91p): Progressive AW winner switching to turf and making handicap debut. Strong Timeform profile with a ‘p’ flag for potential. Stays 6f well and should be able to lay up close to the speed. Trainer Ollie Sangster is in form and profitable with turf handicap favourites.

SERAPHIM ANGEL (Drawn 1 | adj. 91): Has form at Chester and ran better than the result last time when denied a clear run. Drawn perfectly and gets a big pace to tow into the race. Can go well if breaking on terms.

SEA EMILY RUN (Drawn 5 | adj. 88): Fair Doncaster fifth on handicap debut in a stronger race. Strong-travelling sort but risk of being marooned in mid-division here. Needs the breaks at the right time.

TOOMUCHFORME (Drawn 5 | adj. 90): Newmarket reappearance was underwhelming, but shaped well last backend in stronger company. Trainer K.R. Burke is in solid form, and the filly has tactical speed to sit handy. Bounce back not ruled out.

Main Dangers:

ZIGGY’S ARIEL (Drawn 7 | adj. 94): Well exposed but not badly treated. Tough filly who runs close to the pace. Can hold her form and is effective on sharp tracks. Has already run respectably this season and has tactical speed, though drawn slightly wide.

GLAMOUR SHOW (Drawn 8 | adj. 93): Consistent but raced freely last time when only fifth. Return to turf may help settle her, but draw is not ideal if she fails to break well.

LADY OF ANDROS (Drawn 4 | adj. 92): Stout pedigree and shaped OK on reappearance at Kempton. Ollie Sangster’s second string with a good draw and room to improve.

Interesting Outsiders:

MOLLIE FOSTER (IRE) (Drawn 10 | adj. 92): Has ability but needs to overcome a wide stall and bounce back from a poor return. Trainer Ed Walker is in good form. Market support would be notable.

EARTHA (Drawn 6 | adj. 91): Long layoff to overcome (238 days). Poorly drawn for her running style and trainer not firing. Best watched unless strong market support.

BEAUTY NATION (IRE) (Drawn 9 | adj. 90): Needs to settle better and isn’t helped by wide draw. Likely to be dropped in and may struggle to get a clear run. One-paced when asked previously.

Non-runners: Educating Rita, Convo (IRE)

Trainers with recent winners in the race:
Ollie Sangster saddles Nazuki and Lady of Andros – both enter off seasonal reappearances and represent an in-form yard.
Tom Dascombe has won at Chester with similar types and fields Seraphim Angel—a confirmed course winner.

3. Ratings out of 10

Horse Rating

Nazuki 9/10
Seraphim Angel 8/10
Sea Emily Run 7.5/10
Ziggy’s Ariel 7.5/10
Lady of Andros 7/10
Glamour Show 7/10
Toomuchforme 7/10
Mollie Foster 6.5/10
Eartha 6/10
Beauty Nation 5.5/10

> Market Watch:
Monitor any shortening on Nazuki (2nd start), Mollie Foster, and Eartha (both 90+ day layoffs). Seraphim Angel is worth noting if strong from the rail. Drift on Beauty Nation would reinforce layoff-related fitness concerns.

4. Each-Way Angles

With 10 runners, standard place terms (3 places) apply. Each-way value could lie with:

Seraphim Angel (drawn 1, C&D form, denied a run last time)

Lady of Andros (drawn 4, lightly raced, respectable reappearance)

5. Private Tissue Estimate

Horse Tissue Odds

Nazuki 4/1
Seraphim Angel 6/1
Sea Emily Run 13/2
Ziggy’s Ariel 7/1
Lady of Andros 8/1
Glamour Show 9/1
Toomuchforme 10/1
Mollie Foster 12/1
Eartha 16/1
Beauty Nation 20/1

Summary

Nazuki looks to have a strong profile on handicap debut from a favourable draw for a trainer in form, but she faces a very competitive field with several course-suited rivals. Seraphim Angel and Ziggy’s Ariel are live contenders, especially given the pace/draw setup. Lady of Andros and Sea Emily Run can run well if the gaps come at the right time. The race may be shaped by how intense the early gallop becomes—closers will need luck around this tight track.
