Pace/Draw Analysis:
A very strong gallop is expected here, and history at Leopardstown over this trip suggests that low-to-middle draws can be advantageous, particularly when the field size is large. Prominent racers are generally favoured, though with the likely no let-up in the gallop, strong-staying hold-up types could also come into it late – provided they don’t get marooned wide or stuck behind fading rivals.

Key Contenders & Notable Profiles
AMPLITUDE (75p) – Still unexposed and has shaped well in two maidens this season, including a solid fourth at Ballinrobe behind Flying Fortress. That form has worked out steadily and the Joseph Murphy yard has a strong one-runner stat at flat meetings. First handicap, which is notable. (Interesting improver; strong contender)
WERTPOL (80) – Ran a career-best when second in the same Ballinrobe race as Amplitude. He was wide into the straight but stayed on strongly, suggesting this mile will suit well. Being well drawn in stall 17 may not be ideal given the pace/draw angle, but he’s clearly progressive. (Top adjusted rating; respected danger but draw is a slight concern)
MOONHALL LASS (78) – Has built steadily through the campaign and ran well at Roscommon last time. Form is holding up and cheekpieces go on now. Looks fairly treated off 65 and one of the more consistent options. (Each-way chance)
GREAT MOVER (76) – Back to form last time out when a close third at Fairyhouse in a 7f handicap that’s worked out quite well. Trainer W. McCreery is in form and this one is usually well placed. (Another solid type, though the draw in 19 is not ideal)
RISING SKY (78) – Improved effort on handicap debut last time when fourth at Roscommon behind Gangsta Man. Seamie Heffernan takes over now, and stall 16 is manageable. (Lightly raced, could progress)
ALL RIGHT BY ME (76) – Trainer Ger Lyons and Colin Keane combine, and the horse has been gelded since his last run. He was too keen last time and may benefit from stronger handling. Worth noting he’s returning off 58 days; watch the market. (Market watch advised)
REFRESHMENT (74) – Caught the eye two starts back and is a one-runner stat for the Mark Fahey yard, who shows a significant level stakes profit at these meets. Failed to stay 11f latest and drops back to a mile. (Trainer angle; each-way value if supported)

Interesting Outsiders & Profiles to Note
TAM LIN (73) – A dual winner this season but has a high draw and may find things happening a bit quickly.
WIDELY ACCLAIMED (77) – Eye-catching effort at Roscommon when not ideally placed. Stays the trip and should get pace to run at.
CLEVER AND CLASSY (79) – Ran too soon after a big effort when beaten favourite last time. Returns here after a 24-day break but may still need things to fall right. (Hold-up type, high draw, needs luck in running)
TILANI (68) – Back from a 220-day break; market support would be noteworthy given the Weld yard’s form and profile for improving 3yo handicappers.

Summary
A strongly-run 23-runner handicap over a mile should give a fair test. Amplitude looks a progressive type now entering handicaps and gets the nod, with Wertpol, Moonhall Lass, and Great Mover key threats despite some draw concerns. Refreshment and Widely Acclaimed are viable each-way alternatives at a price. Market support for runners returning off breaks or after gelding (e.g. All Right By Me, Tilani) would be significant, especially given the big field setup.
