Pace Forecast: Weak
Draw Bias: Favours low | Pace Note: Prominent racers usually go well here, and a weak pace further enhances the advantage for those ridden handily. Hold-up types may struggle to get involved.

1. Strongest Contenders, Main Dangers, and Interesting Outsiders

NOVAMAY – (TFR 74)
Improved filly who has finished runner-up on both starts this term. She’s been prominent throughout both runs, handling 5.5f–6f well and shaping as though a win is imminent. Remains on the same mark and races handily, which is a plus given the likely steady pace.
Timeform comment: “Confirmed she’s returned an improved performer.”

LIMA SIERRA – (TFR 71)
Reliable type in this grade who ran second in a slightly stronger Ripon 0–60 last time. Still a maiden but boasts consistent turf form and usually sits close to the pace. Has shown ability on good to soft, which helps.

UNTHINKABLE (IRE) – (TFR 68)
Often slowly away but kept on last time behind an improver over 7f and best form is at 5f. With a weak pace predicted, her hold-up style could be a hindrance unless she breaks on terms. Returns quickly – 3rd run in 17 days – and has shown flashes of ability.

EY UP HE’S A STAR – (TFR 59)
Made little impression in three runs last season but hinted at ability despite slow starts. Trainer’s horses can improve markedly into handicaps. He’s a half-brother to speed types, and any market confidence would be notable.

BABY ROVER (IRE) – (TFR 66)
Generally poor, but his best effort came at 5f, and he ran creditably when fourth at Catterick 11 days ago. Another who can be slowly away and will need luck in running from a likely mid-division sit.

DYNAMITE DIVA – (TFR 65)
Caught the eye in parts, including when over-racing off an eight-month layoff at Leicester. Trainer switch prior to this season; only modest form to date, but back at 6f with cheekpieces retained. One of few with upside potential.

SUN KEEPER – (TFR §§)
Refused to race last two starts and is difficult to assess with confidence. Won earlier in the year but can’t be trusted currently unless he loads calmly and behaves at the start.

CANARIA SUN – (TFR 61)
Showed nothing in three qualifying runs. Opening mark is stiff on bare form, but he has a sprinting pedigree and races prominently. Trainer’s runners sometimes show abrupt improvement on handicap debut.

EJUNA (IRE) – (TFR -)
Ran in three weak novice/maiden contests and was soundly beaten in each. Absent 122 days and no signs of ability thus far. Market check advised.

Notable Trends/Trainer Records:
No past winners of this race identified by Timeform.
Runners returning from 90+ days (EJUNA) should be monitored closely for support or drift.
Second-time handicappers (e.g. CANARIA SUN) often show improvement; market can be informative.

2. Ratings out of 10 (Based on adjusted figures, profile notes, and pace bias)

Novamay – 9/10

Lima Sierra – 8/10

Unthinkable – 6.5/10 (hold-up type – needs early luck)

Ey Up He’s A Star – 6/10 (unexposed; trainer angle)

Baby Rover – 5.5/10 (not straightforward)

Dynamite Diva – 5.5/10 (lightly raced; possible upswing)

Sun Keeper – 4/10 (refused twice – risky)

Canaria Sun – 4/10 (no substance to maiden runs)

Ejuna – 3.5/10 (long layoff – poor form to date)

3. Each-Way Angles (9 runners)

The race meets the threshold for each-way consideration.

EY UP HE’S A STAR – Unexposed, bred to be useful, and better expected now handicapping. Worth monitoring in the betting.

DYNAMITE DIVA – One of few with scope; better than finishing position last time.

4. Private Tissue Estimate (100% Market)

Novamay – 2/1
Lima Sierra – 3/1
Unthinkable – 7/1
Ey Up He’s A Star – 9/1
Dynamite Diva – 10/1
Baby Rover – 12/1
Sun Keeper – 20/1
Canaria Sun – 25/1
Ejuna – 33/1

5. Summary

Novamay arrives in peak form and is well positioned tactically in a race likely to be steadily run – she looks the most solid proposition. Lima Sierra is reliable and rates the main danger. Ey Up He’s A Star and Dynamite Diva appeal most as each-way plays among the lesser-exposed types, particularly if market support arrives. Keep a close eye on any strength for handicap debutants or those returning from breaks, especially Ejuna.
