Pace Forecast: Even
Draw Bias: No significant bias at this trip on this surface
Pace Note: Hold-up horses often struggle unless pace collapses; Autumn Festival looks better positioned than Noisy Music given the expected tempo.

1. Contenders, Dangers & Angles
Main Contenders:
Sibyl Charm (82) – In-form mare who’s been knocking on the door on the AW and turf this spring. Slightly slow starts are a concern, but her finishing effort at Musselburgh suggests she’s well handicapped if breaking on terms. Southwell placed in April. Suited by 7f on Tapeta.
Noisy Music (83) – Well-handicapped based on late-2024 AW form. Better than reappearance run at Beverley suggests. Handles this surface and has tactical speed, but her usual mid-div running style could leave her needing gaps late. Market support would be significant.
Petra Celera (80) – Backed up her recent apprentice win here with a solid third at Wolverhampton just yesterday. Unexposed profile for the grade, tactically versatile, and drawn well to sit handy. This quick turnaround is a positive in the context of current form.
Dangerous Lurkers:
Age of Baroque (80) – £575,000 purchase, now operating in low-level handicaps. Took a step forward last time at Kempton, and that form’s worked out well enough. Still lightly raced and shapes like there’s more to come. Trainer’s had a quiet spell, but the horse is interesting.
Autumn Festival (80) – Recent runs not discreditable despite wide trips. Well suited to a controlled gallop where he can race handily. Not progressive but competitively weighted. This could be his ideal setup from a prominent sit.
Interesting Outsiders:
Racing Country (NR) – 480-day layoff raises major fitness questions, especially at 10 years old. Did win fresh in early 2024 for a previous yard but must be watched in the market. No public evidence of recent prep and new stable is unexposed.
Spartan Fighter (79) – Longstanding campaigner. Signs of life two starts ago but bombed since. Aged 8 and on the downgrade, though does act on Tapeta and has won here before.
Neapolitan (78) – Brittain yard remains cold. No evidence of recent form or competitiveness. Has dropped in the weights but nothing in recent runs suggests revival imminent.

6. Summary & Smart Play
This looks an open 0–68 AW handicap where many have potential without being nailed-on. Sibyl Charm is the most consistent and has a solid track and pace profile, while Noisy Music could easily outrun her price if the Beverley reappearance has brought her on. Petra Celera must be respected under a quick return, while Age of Baroque has long-term upside if continuing to build.
Smart Play:
Back Noisy Music each-way at 6/1+ if supported in market (on the AW figs, she’s in this off a winning mark).
Savers: Sibyl Charm win-only at 3/1+ and monitor the late market for Petra Celera and Age of Baroque – both have enough recent substance to justify inclusion in exotics or trading strategies.
Watch for: Racing Country in the market – any late support off a near 500-day break would be very significant.
20:30 Southwell – HighBet Club WC Acca Boost “Confined” Handicap (Class 5, 7f 14y, 4yo+, 0–68)Surface: Tapeta | Going: Standard | Field: 8 runners
