6f 12y | 3yo+ | £3,768 | Going: Good to Firm (Good in places)
Pace Forecast: Strong
Draw Bias: High draws generally favoured, but prominent racers in low numbers can dominate over this trip.
This low-grade apprentice handicap features 14 runners over a quick six furlongs, with a strong pace predicted. Historically, this course and distance rewards those on or near the lead, especially from low to middle draws. Runners who are held up may struggle unless there is a pace collapse. The draw in stalls 1 and 2 has housed previous winners of this contest, despite the general high-draw bias.

Contenders, Dangers & Outsiders
Southbank (1): Took a step forward on first start for Chris Gordon when scoring decisively at Bath. Remains fairly treated off a turf mark still lower than his AW rating. Suited by trip, ground, and running style. Has stall 1 – ideal for a front-runner at Windsor. Timeform notes that he can be slowly away but was alert last time. A proven horse for this setup.
Vape (2): Strong Timeform adjusted figure, particularly on penultimate start when unlucky not to win at Chepstow. Drawn ideally in 2 for a front-running ride. Well suited to the course and trip. Last run on soft can be excused. Can go well if allowed to dictate. Strong contender.
Call Glory (9): Has hinted at revival form this year, particularly second at Southwell. Mixed efforts since, but reapplication of headgear could sharpen him up. Acts on fast turf, though wider draw may force restraint early.
Equalised (11): Three-year-old maiden from Charles Hills. 4¼ lengths fifth last time at Salisbury in a competitive field. Hold-up style and drawn wide; needs luck in running. First handicap runners from this yard often improve, but he’s not obviously progressive.
Sorontar (13): Off since December. Has run well fresh before and placed here on turf. Likely better over further but could keep on late if they go too hard. Market watch advised.
Power of Twins (10): Second start off a break; ran over an inadequate trip last time. Not fully exposed but stall 10 and lack of proven form make him hard to trust. Hannon yard form needs checking.
Kodi Red (6): Regularly races up with the pace, which suits today’s profile. Outpaced at Doncaster last time but had been consistent before. Could go well at a price from a mid draw.
Little Miss Magic (11): On a downward curve. Has been keen and unable to finish off in recent runs. Hold-up type who needs the race to fall apart.
Roman Spring (12): Recent fourth on heavy ground was respectable. Has placed here in the past. Yard cold. Profile doesn’t scream winner, but could hit frame if race collapses.
Four Adaay (5): Ran twice in quick succession last month and disappointed. Has a win and good second on AW this year. May bounce back but draw is not ideal and lacks consistency.
Lequinto (7): Eight-year-old who usually needs pace to collapse. Recent form suggests he retains some ability but races from too far back.
Inspired Knowhow (4): Returns from a long break. Needs to prove he retains ability. Watch the market.
Exquisement (14): Poor since arriving from France. Would be a shock winner. Drawn widest.
Libra Tiger (8): Well held on return, may have needed the run. One to watch for market support off a break.

Trends & Timeform Comments
Timeform favours Southbank, citing his adjusted turf mark as still lenient.
Trainers: Chris Gordon has a strong record when sending a single runner to a flat meeting (+£42 level stakes).
Hold-up types such as Equalised and Lequinto need a complete pace collapse to feature.
Watch market moves on Inspired Knowhow (270-day layoff) and Libra Tiger (56 days off).

Summary
This Class 6 handicap has an ideal setup for prominent runners from low draws. Southbank profiles best – well-drawn, in-form, and still fairly treated after a dominant win at Bath. Vape is the main danger, having shaped very well previously at Chepstow and now back on fast ground in stall 2. Call Glory and Kodi Red could be place players if race tactics fall right.
