Pace Angle: Weak early gallop expected. Prominent racers generally favoured on this straight track.
Draw Bias: Negative for mid-drawn runners. Lower and higher stalls slightly favoured.

Leading Contenders
RAFT UP (IRE) – [Rating: 9/10]
Progressive and adaptable. Has won here over C&D and ran excellently in a stronger Ripon contest, disadvantaged by track position (far side group). Ideally drawn and travels well in steadily run races. Harriet Bethell has her string in form and this one has improved markedly since wind surgery.
CAPTAIN VALLO (IRE) – [Rating: 8.5/10]
Reliable veteran with strong form this season. Good 2nd to a solid yardstick last time, finishing clear of the third. Suited by the going and race tempo. Drawn well and continues to run to his mark.
SUGAR BABY – [Rating: 7.5/10]
In top form recently and clearly thrives on fast turf. Holds form from higher marks and well-handled by Callum Rodriguez. May need things to fall right tactically being a hold-up type in a weak-pace setup.
ISHE WORTH AGAMBLE – [Rating: 7/10]
Improving sort for Tim Easterby. Dual winner this summer including over C&D. Likely still fairly treated off 56. Just needs luck in running but a strong finisher in steadily run contests is always a concern.

Main Dangers
PAPA COCKTAIL (IRE) – [Rating: 7/10]
Competitive in stronger races and has placed off higher marks. Draw and race style (typically midfield) aren’t ideal for this setup. Watch market.
SOUTH SHORE – [Rating: 6.5/10]
Recent winner and has tactical speed. Not the most consistent but can go forward and has won on this sort of ground. If improving again, could be involved.
ROUNDHAY PARK – [Rating: 6.5/10]
Still retains ability at 10. Close up at Ripon behind Raft Up and consistent at this level. Draw a slight negative but could run into a place.
WILDE AND DANDY – [Rating: 6/10]
Trainer out of form and latest run was disappointing. Needs to bounce back.

Others
RIFT VALLEY (IRE) – [Rating: 5.5/10] – Ran better latest but slow starts a concern in a race likely favouring pace.
EAST TYRONE (IRE) – [Rating: 5/10] – Yet to build on promising 2yo win; market support would be notable.
MADAME FENELLA – [Rating: 5/10] – Best form comes when everything falls right, often slow away.
BUST A MOON – [Rating: 4/10] – Lost form since leaving previous yard, not competitive lately.
FUMBLEINTHEJUNGLE – [Rating: 1/10] – Refused to race last time and has shown nothing of note; ruled out.

Summary

RAFT UP has clearly turned a corner since his wind operation and remains on an upward curve, with a favourable draw and setup. CAPTAIN VALLO is very reliable and hard to keep out of the places, while SUGAR BABY is in peak form but may face tactical disadvantages.
