20:20 Tramore – Racing TV Free Trial Now Handicap (0-60, 4yo+) 2m, Good

·

Race Conditions: Modest 0–60 handicap over two miles. The €6,000 prize has drawn a field of eight mostly exposed types, several dual-purpose runners included.

Pace & Draw Angles: Very weak pace forecast, which complicates things for typical hold-up types like BYNX, who will need luck in running. More forwardly placed runners like MAKE GOOD, RAUZAN, and DUMB LOVE could get the run of the race, especially if the early fractions are indeed steady.

Strongest Contenders:

MAKE GOOD (TFR 67+)
Capable dual-code veteran. Showed he still retains ability with strong late work when 5th last time over shorter. Back up to 2m suits, and he handles good ground well. Tactically he should be better positioned than most. Suitability score: 8.5/10

BYNX (TFR 65)
Consistent and shaped well when second at Gowran last time. Flat maiden but dual hurdles winner and on a fair mark. The concern is a lack of tactical pace—needs things to fall right. Suitability score: 7/10

RAUZAN (TFR 64+)
Talented over hurdles (won four in a row last year) and fitter from a recent run. Will be suited by the likely sedate tempo and stays well. Still relatively lightly raced on the Flat. Suitability score: 7.5/10

DUMB LOVE (TFR 64)
Has been running consistently this spring, handles various goings, and can race handy. Can be found out for finishing speed but will be suited by the lack of a strong early gallop. Suitability score: 7/10

Other Runners:

DUKE OTTO (TFR 64) – Stays well and had excuses latest, but is inconsistent and still a maiden. Suitability score: 6.5/10

INFLUENTIAL LADY (TFR 62+) – Ageing mare who is best on her day but form has tapered off sharply. Slow starter in a race with a dawdle is a big negative. Suitability score: 4.5/10

LISS EILE (TFR 60) – Unexposed but achieved little so far, and rates a longshot on what she’s shown. Suitability score: 4/10

BOSTON BONGO (TFR ?) – Form in both codes modest, doesn’t shape like a 2m winner, and is opposable. Suitability score: 3.5/10

Suitability Ratings (out of 10):

Horse Suitability

Make Good 8.5
Rauzan 7.5
Bynx 7
Dumb Love 7
Duke Otto 6.5
Influential Lady 4.5
Liss Eile 4
Boston Bongo 3.5

Private Tissue Estimate:

Make Good – 3/1

Bynx – 4/1

Rauzan – 9/2

Dumb Love – 11/2

Duke Otto – 8/1

Influential Lady – 14/1

Liss Eile – 16/1

Boston Bongo – 25/1

Summary:

This race hinges heavily on pace dynamics, which appear weak. MAKE GOOD is a proven stayer in both codes and looked ready to strike over further last time. BYNX has the form but could be tactically compromised, while RAUZAN is interesting back on the level off a feasible mark.

Smart Play (Professional Punter’s View):

Win Bet: MAKE GOOD – strong stayer, running into form, pace setup ideal, and reliable yard.
Each-Way Saver: RAUZAN – back on the level, useful over hurdles, could be well placed if ridden positively.
