Pace & Draw Angles:
The pace projection is strong, suggesting front-runners and early pressers like Cosmic Force, Flynn Ryder and Senti Qua could go hard early. With a level draw bias on the Polytrack at Dundalk over 7f, mid-pack tracking runners could be favoured, especially those who can settle and produce a sustained finish.

Strongest Contenders:
ERIC LOCK (79) – Progressive, consistent, and proven on AW (2nd at Dundalk over 6f). Recent second at Bellewstown when clear of the third suggests he’s in top form. Drawn well in 12 and carries no weight with a 10lb claimer up. Well treated.
MERCHANTS ARCH (82) – Best efforts have come on the AW and notably over this C&D. Well-handicapped now and his 3rd at Limerick two starts back reads well. Could be peaking at the right time.
JUST BEFORE (76) – In-form filly with multiple placed efforts this summer. Has stamina for 1m and handles the AW. A strong pace will suit her hold-up style if she can get cover and luck in running.
SENTI QUA (65) – From a capable stable, now fitted with cheekpieces and coming off a fair effort at Cork. Could do better on the AW surface. Market support would be interesting.
Main Dangers:
HAVE I TOLD YOU (73) – Entitled to come on for her recent return after a break. Best run came on this surface in a fair maiden. Still unexposed.
RED SCARLET (78) – Possibly unsuited by recent step up to 10f; return to 7f may spark a return to early promise shown in 2024.
ALL RIGHT BY ME (79) – Poor form on turf but return to Dundalk and visor reapplied makes him a potential bounce-back candidate. Needs things to go right.
Interesting Outsiders:
COSMIC FORCE (71§) – Often slowly away, hard to trust, but pace scenario and Polytrack suitability keep him from being completely dismissed.
BROSNA GREEN (66) – Best effort came at Dundalk and Shane Foley takes over. Not out of it if rediscovering that form.

Summary:
This is a trappy 3-y-o handicap where recent form and AW suitability count for plenty. Eric Lock has been improving this summer and returns to the surface of his best form with a massive weight swing via the 10lb claim. Merchants Arch is the solid play with proven C&D efforts. Just Before needs luck from mid-pack but has consistency on her side.

Smart Play:
Win Bet: Eric Lock – Well drawn, in good form, and carries no weight. Looks ready to strike.
Each-Way Saver: Merchants Arch – Proven at Dundalk, likely to appreciate pace collapse, strong finishing claims.
Strong pace, open field, but the form horses look to have the edge over speculative types with patchy profiles.
