Pace & Draw Angles:
A strong pace is forecast here with several front-runners including Spirit of Eagles, Mark’s One, and Tynamite. There is no obvious draw bias reported, but given the configuration of Limerick’s round 7f, stamina and a strong finish are likely to prove decisive, especially in a large field of 13.

Strongest Contenders:
ZARAGOZA (66) – Often slowly away but shaped well when sixth at Naas over a sharp 5f. The return to 6.5f is ideal, and he’s down 2lb for that effort. Trainer in top form. Ideally suited by a strong pace and should be finishing well late.
SPIRIT OF EAGLES (65) – Racing consistently, best when coming off a good pace. Narrow second last time at Down Royal. Stays 7f well and will be delivered late. Needs things to fall right but ticking along soundly.
TYNAMITE (63+) – 11-year-old, but ran his best race for a while when second here over 1m last month. Back in trip, but likes the track and should get a good tow into the race.
AKEELA (63) – Rejuvenated by recent change in stables and ran a good race at Bellewstown. Best when tracking the speed rather than forcing it. Value claims if repeating that.
MARK’S ONE (61) – No win yet but has two decent runs since switch to Cleary’s yard. Could pop up if building on latest effort.
—
Main Dangers:
SHE’S SMART (68) – Better than recent form shows, badly hampered last time out. Best over 5f–6f and doesn’t always break cleanly, which is a concern in a big field.
CU CHULAINN (62) – Good fourth at Listowel in June but generally inconsistent. Can go forward early but fades late. May be vulnerable to stronger stayers late on.
SOBRIETY BLUE (67+) – Lightly raced and not shown much, but trainer capable of springing surprises. Interesting if market speaks positively on second run after a break.

Summary:
This is a low-grade handicap where form reliability is questionable, but the combination of pace pressure and track demands make late runners appealing. Zaragoza is best suited by conditions and continues to shape well without winning. Spirit of Eagles has a similar profile and may be the more consistent of the closers. Tynamite is in the twilight of his career but can be dangerous at this level.

Smart Play:
Win Bet: Zaragoza – Trainer in good form, drops in class and distance should suit ideally with a strong pace to aim at.
Each-Way Saver: Spirit of Eagles – Solid recent form, well-handicapped, and another who will be suited by how the race is likely to unfold.
Watch the market closely for any sustained support for Sobriety Blue and She’s Smart, especially if either drifts then firms late.
