Pace Forecast: Very Weak
Pace Bias: Favourable to front-runners or those sitting prominently. MIAKODA has the tactical edge, while OLDBURY LAD and others who drop in could be at a disadvantage.

Contenders Overview
MIAKODA (73) – Proven at the track and tactically suited. A good second here last time, closing strongly from off the pace in a sprint. Step back up to 7f ideal, and he’s well treated off same mark. Runs prominently, and stable’s only runner on the card with solid stats. Has previously shown slight stalls issues but recovered well.
BANKSMAN (69) – In-form but trip now a question. Won back-to-back minor events over 7.5f–8f and ran respectably under a penalty at Brighton. Carries top weight and needs to reproduce those efforts dropping in distance and facing stronger competition for the lead.
ON A VESPA (68) – Improving and possibly better than form. Creditable third at Salisbury and unlucky not to finish closer at Lingfield last time when hampered. This trip could suit, and the yard is in form. Will need cover and a good pace, which may not materialise.
MIGHTY REAL (66) – Late progress profile. Improved when stepped up in trip at Leicester, finishing third. Might want further in time but no reason he can’t run on late. May be outpaced early in this crawl.
OLDBURY LAD (67) – Genuine, but best efforts have come off a fast pace. Caught wide here last time and hung left under pressure. Cheekpieces off today. Could be compromised by tactical setup.

Others
BLUE POINT EXPRESS (67) – Recent form underwhelming, probably wants shorter than this trip.
TOBY’S TIME (64) – First run back after a lengthy break. Showed very little as a 2yo and market check advised.

Summary
A small-field tactical event where pace will be crucial. MIAKODA ran a blinder over 6f here and should relish a return to 7f with conditions and pace profile in his favour. BANKSMAN remains in form but might be caught out if forced to make his own running. ON A VESPA is a credible danger if he can sit closer in the run.
