6.00 Tramore, 25th August 2025 – Morris DIY Rated Race (€11,500), 1m4f, 3yo Only (Rated 70 or less)

·

Pace Angles + Draw Angles:
A moderately run affair appears likely with no habitual front-runner among the field, but Flynn Ryder and Electric Beauty have raced prominently before. Tramore’s tight right-handed track and short straight place a premium on handy positioning, and lower to mid draws tend to offer tactical flexibility—particularly when the pace is tepid. Stall 9 is potentially problematic for Chica Guerrera unless ridden aggressively.

Strongest Contenders:

  • Enziya (Proven, 8/10): Won a competitive handicap at Limerick over 11.5f in June, displaying determination and the ability to finish off well from the rear. Didn’t fire on the AW next time but has bounced back before and seems suited to this test. Well-treated on his peak RPR of 72 and could be tactically better off here.
  • Electric Beauty (Proven, 8/10): Broke her maiden three starts back at Leopardstown over 7f but shaped as though stamina is no issue. Her win came when making the running and she was game in the finish. Has since been outpaced or wide but has scope to bounce back if ridden forward from stall 3.
  • Galaxy Wonder (Progressive, 7/10): Scored at Ballinrobe in a first-time visor and that form ties in nicely with Boyne Valley, whom he beat comfortably. While not completely trustworthy, he’s unexposed over staying trips and his sire Camelot imparts further hope for 12f.

Main Dangers:

  • Boyne Valley (Promising, 6/10): Inconsistent, but her second to Galaxy Wonder on penultimate start showed latent ability over a similar trip. Weakens quickly if pressured early but gets a handy draw and weight concession. Needs ideal conditions to fire.
  • Midnight Stagger (Unreliable, 6/10): Beaten favourite last time but shaped okay in the past when getting a clear run. Blinkers/cheekpieces haven’t solved him and he seems trip-limited. Handles downhill finishes and is capable of sneaking into the frame if others underperform.
  • Chica Guerrera (Exposed, 5/10): Surprise nursery winner last autumn who has struggled since. Her best effort came on soft ground, so underfoot conditions are key. She has a hold-up profile and will need luck from stall 9.

Interesting Outsiders:

  • Drucker (Unexposed, 5/10): Easy Dundalk winner in April and returns to the flat after being tailed off over 12f on turf. May prefer a strong pace and drier ground. Profile is uneven, but if ignoring his last two, could bounce back.
  • Baila Conmigo (Lightly-Raced, 5/10): Ran creditably at Navan over 10f on handicap debut and shaped as though 12f would suit. Trainer Adrian Murray is 2/3 in the last fortnight. Still learning, and open to improvement.

Runner Scores and Suitability Analysis:

  • Enziya: 8/10 – Trip and going fine; upward profile on turf.
  • Electric Beauty: 8/10 – Could lead from stall 3; best form with a pace advantage.
  • Galaxy Wonder: 7/10 – Improving; slight stamina query but dam side offers hope.
  • Boyne Valley: 6/10 – Needs rhythm and strong pace; some tactical risk.
  • Midnight Stagger: 6/10 – Handles surface, but not straightforward and draw is middling.
  • Chica Guerrera: 5/10 – Needs cut and luck; awkward draw.
  • Drucker: 5/10 – Capable if forgiven last two, but low recent ratings.
  • Baila Conmigo: 5/10 – Inexperienced but improving; could appreciate trip.
  • Flynn Ryder: 4/10 – Better on AW; trip/track combo may stretch him.

Keep an eye on the market for support or big drifts for runners returning from layoffs of 90+ days.
Watch out for in-form sprinters returning quickly; they can be hot.

Each-Way Angles:
With 9 runners declared, each-way play is possible. Boyne Valley (well-treated if bouncing back) and Baila Conmigo (progressive type) represent each-way interest at likely bigger prices.

Private Tissue Estimate:

  • Enziya – 3/1
  • Electric Beauty – 7/2
  • Galaxy Wonder – 5/1
  • Boyne Valley – 7/1
  • Midnight Stagger – 8/1
  • Baila Conmigo – 10/1
  • Drucker – 12/1
  • Chica Guerrera – 14/1
  • Flynn Ryder – 20/1

Market watch advised for runners making their 2nd start.

Summary:
A tactical affair on a tight track where positioning will be key. The best form lies with Enziya and Electric Beauty, who are both drawn to get a handy early spot. Galaxy Wonder has upside but may need to settle better to repeat. Boyne Valley has strong collateral form but lacks consistency.

Smart Play:

Win Selection: Enziya – has already won over this trip and looks ideally drawn to track the pace and pounce late.

Each-Way Saver: Boyne Valley – if repeating her Balinrobe second, she’s weighted to get involved and looks overlooked.
