2.15 Catterick: Yorkshire Dales Distillery EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes (Bands B/C/D) (EBF Qualifier) (GBB Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. The Lost Sock (IRE): With a Total TimeWise score of 279, The Lost Sock is significantly ahead in the rankings. The sources indicate that this horse was quite keen on debut over 6f but performed better when going down narrowly at 5f at Thirsk, suggesting the shorter trip suits. The winner of that Thirsk race ran acceptably in a valuable sales race, further supporting The Lost Sock’s form. The spotlight verdict identifies THE LOST SOCK as tough to beat, especially if repeating his Thirsk form, and notes that this race is likely easier.
    2. Mossvale Diva (IRE): Ranked second with a Total TimeWise score of 243, Mossvale Diva has proven consistent rather than progressive in her six runs, failing to win any. She came up just short in a Class 6 nursery last week, indicating that she will likely need to find more to be competitive here. The spotlight verdict acknowledges her consistency but fears the potential of Staniel Cay more, suggesting Mossvale Diva may not be the primary threat.

2.30 Musselburgh: Irish EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes (GBB Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Supreme Clarets (IRE): This horse holds the top TimeWise ranking with a Total score of 246. Supreme Clarets showed improvement when finishing third of seven in a maiden at Hamilton, suggesting he would stay 7f, which aligns with today’s race distance. His form is noted as one of the two best in this lineup. The spotlight verdict places him as the second choice, acknowledging his good form but suggesting Spirit Of The Wood has more scope for improvement.
    2. Spirit Of The Wood (IRE): With a Total TimeWise score of 232, Spirit Of The Wood is closely behind. He displayed a fair level of ability in his debut, securing a close third of nine in a Musselburgh maiden, and the runner-up from that race has since performed well. The spotlight verdict prefers SPIRIT OF THE WOOD, given his single previous run, which implies greater potential for progress compared to Supreme Clarets.

2.45 Catterick: Fascination By Cherished Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (GBB Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Rogue Attraction (IRE): Leading the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 275. Rogue Attraction finished a clear second at Carlisle to a previous winner who subsequently ran in a York nursery. She was sent off as the strong favourite in that race, indicating she is highly regarded. The spotlight verdict identifies her as an obvious contender after chasing useful rivals and notes her strong market support in her first race.
    2. Blue Nguru: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 231. Blue Nguru has run twice over 6f on good ground, finishing a length third at Goodwood and running well from the front at Hamilton, only beaten by Midnight Tango, who has since competed in Group 3 races. The application of new cheekpieces for this race suggests the trainer is looking for further improvement. The spotlight verdict also considers BLUE NGURU an obvious contender, noting her conqueror’s subsequent Group race performances.

3.00 Musselburgh: Thomson Bethune Nursery Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Havin A Flyer: This horse tops the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 212. Havin A Flyer has shown progressive form in her three runs, finishing within 2 lengths when fourth at Beverley last month. Her pedigree suggests she has plenty of speed, and she is expected to be closely watched on her nursery debut, especially with the hood removed. The spotlight verdict identifies her as another to keep an eye on among the handicap newcomers.
    2. Dinamo (IRE): With a Total TimeWise score of 203, Dinamo is the second-highest ranked by TimeWise. Dinamo won a Thirsk nursery last month, but this was a narrow victory in a small field. She has since taken two backward steps in form, bringing her record to 1 win from 8 starts, making her a less convincing prospect compared to others.

3.15 Catterick: Remembering Frank Hugill Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Miss Rainbow (IRE): Leading the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 245. Miss Rainbow has shown good form since being fitted with a visor, only being caught late at Thirsk last time. She is expected to be competitive despite potential competition for the lead.
    2. Dream Deal: With a Total TimeWise score of 242, Dream Deal is very close behind. She achieved her second win in 26 starts by beating Quercus over this course and distance recently, having been well-positioned and benefiting from first-time blinkers. The spotlight verdict highlights DREAM DEAL as a strong favourite in her last win and expects the headgear to continue to be effective, making her a key contender.

3.30 Musselburgh: AAB Group And Bibby Financial Services Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Amidst The Chaos (IRE): This horse is the top TimeWise pick with a Total score of 249. Amidst The Chaos, after being well held in his qualifying runs, made a successful handicap debut at Doncaster, winning by a nose from the rear. Despite a 3lb rise, he is considered a type likely to progress further. The spotlight verdict makes AMIDST THE CHAOS the ready preference, noting his recent win and potential for further learning.
    2. Marry The Night: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 222. Marry The Night’s form was disappointing this year until he capitalised on a reduced mark to win a seven-runner race at Redcar. He is back up 2lb but is still considered below his best 2yo form. He’s given an extra 1f today and is included in serious calculations. The spotlight verdict lists him as third on the list, having returned to form and shown capability for better last season.

3.45 Catterick: Berber Leather Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Inspiring Speeches (IRE): This horse is the TimeWise leader with a Total score of 251. Inspiring Speeches has recorded narrow wins recently, resulting in only a 2lb rise. He made the most of a soft lead last time and, while needing to see out this longer trip, is clearly a contender. The spotlight verdict notes that Inspiring Speeches is closely matched with others on recent course encounters.
    2. Bollin Neil: With a Total TimeWise score of 230, Bollin Neil is the second-ranked horse. He is a three-time Flat winner at Catterick and stays 3m over hurdles. He finished runner-up over 2m here recently but would benefit from softer ground for this trip.

4.00 Musselburgh: Portobello Cup Handicap (GBBPlus Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Simple Star (IRE): The leading TimeWise horse with a Total score of 304. Simple Star is a 2m hurdles winner who has an excellent 1m4f record at Musselburgh, reinforced by a clearcut win recently. However, a narrow defeat in a slowly run edition of this race in 2023 might not be a reliable indicator of his stamina over 2m2f.
    2. Paper Doll (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 285. This ex-Irish mare has shown consistent good form this year, including wins at Pontefract and Carlisle. She shaped as if she stayed 2m on Newcastle AW, suggesting the 2m2f trip here might be within her capabilities.

4.15 Catterick: Dave Watson Memorial Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Rosenpur (GER): Tops the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 288. Rosenpur has had a busy year, achieving her fifth win in 2025 at Chester by making all. Despite being high in the weights, her latest defeat in a Racing League handicap is considered forgivable. The spotlight verdict states that Rosenpur will find this an easier assignment than her last race.
    2. Lexington Blitz (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 281. Lexington Blitz won twice last year and was better than ever when runner-up in Epsom’s 3yo Dash. He is on a good mark and ran well at Musselburgh, though he got no peace up front. The addition of cheekpieces is noted. The spotlight verdict hails LEXINGTON BLITZ as the “class act” and “nap” selection, emphasizing his runner-up finish in the 3yo Dash and solid recent run.

4.35 Musselburgh: Mediterranean Shipping Company Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Keep Me Stable (IRE): The top TimeWise-ranked horse with a Total score of 243. Keep Me Stable recorded a hat-trick of wins at Musselburgh in June/July. Despite the handicapper’s assessment, a respectable third at Ayr on her latest outing shows she remains competitive. The spotlight verdict slightly prefers KEEP ME STABLE over Monhammer, noting her younger age and previous hat-trick at this track.
    2. Front Gunner (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 231. This 3yo AW winner secured his first turf win at Redcar, leading and rallying to justify favoritism. He has been off since, is up 2lb, and does not have the inside stall, but is not ruled out.

4.45 Catterick: Oops A Daisy Classified Stakes

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Starshot (IRE): Leading the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 221. Starshot has only one win from 33 starts, which came in a classified race on the AW on his penultimate outing. He hit the frame back on turf here recently and is expected to be competitive. The spotlight verdict notes that Starshot is in better form than most.
    2. Bandello: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 212. Bandello is a 16-race maiden but has shown competitiveness in classified races, including a second-place finish at Ffos Las. He might require a mile distance now but is still respected.

4.53 Bellewstown: Download The Tote App Claiming Hurdle

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Long Gone (IRE): This horse is the top TimeWise-ranked contender with a Total score of 249. Long Gone was a Tramore maiden winner in April and delivered his best performance when second in a 3m Kilbeggan handicap the following month. Despite a tame chasing debut recently, he is considered a contender back hurdling. The spotlight verdict lists Long Gone as a likely danger.
    2. Ahead Of The Posse (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 245. Ahead Of The Posse won a similar Roscommon contest last month under the same rider and was not discredited in a competitive Galway handicap where he was left with too much to do. He is considered one to consider back in claiming company. The spotlight verdict, however, raises concerns about Dollar Value’s fading in a recent similar event, and suggests looking elsewhere for value.

5.05 Musselburgh: Hutcheon Mearns Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Thunderstorm Katie: The TimeWise leader with a Total score of 252. Thunderstorm Katie has been on a roll, securing two 6f Ayr handicaps this summer and a 5f win at Hamilton recently. Despite a 5lb penalty and a sharper track, she is an improved sprinter who appeared capable of further improvement in her latest race. The spotlight verdict expects THUNDERSTORM KATIE to continue her winning streak.
    2. Match Play: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 236. Match Play has won once in each of the last four seasons, with his latest win at Pontefract in June. He has also achieved three creditable placings this summer, indicating he remains a contender.

5.15 Hexham: Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Novices’ Hurdle (GBB Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Mohawk Chief (USA): Tops the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 273. Mohawk Chief broke his hurdles maiden at Market Rasen and subsequently delivered a solid third-place performance in a novice race there. This fair Flat scorer holds leading form claims, especially with a visor replacing blinkers. The spotlight verdict identifies MOHAWK CHIEF as having an “excellent opportunity” to win again.
    2. Late Night Drama: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 234. Late Night Drama made significant progress to win a novice hurdle over this course and distance at 50-1 in May. However, she then finished a well-held sixth in a Perth novice race. She needs to bounce back, especially with a first-time tongue-tie after a break. The spotlight verdict suggests Jentobello is more likely to challenge Mohawk Chief, ahead of Late Night Drama.

5.25 Bellewstown: Connolly’s RED MILLS Irish EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle (IRE Incentive Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Jackson Lamb (IRE): The TimeWise leader with a Total score of 240. Jackson Lamb bolted up in a Downpatrick bumper last summer and has performed well twice at this venue, including a front-running fourth last month. He was only reeled in late in a Downpatrick maiden hurdle, and a drop in trip is expected to suit him for another bold bid. The spotlight verdict names JACKSON LAMB as the “nap” selection, considering him the one to beat after going close in a stronger maiden.
    2. Ellis Mor (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 238. Ellis Mor showed a definite step forward on his second outing for Willie Mullins, being narrowly denied by a stablemate in a Tramore maiden. He was bought cheaply and is now debuting for Dermot McLoughlin, making him an interesting runner. The spotlight verdict also highlights Ellis Mor as an interesting runner.

5.37 Kempton: Unibet/British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes (GBB Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Double Eagle (IRE): Leads the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 295. This Dark Angel colt displayed promise with some greenness, finishing fifth of 11 at Doncaster. He is in capable hands and is considered to have frame possibilities with expected improvement.
    2. Moment Of Light: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 250. Moment Of Light, a Royal Lodge entry, finished well for a promising half-length second in a newcomers’ event at Chester, despite showing signs of greenness. He is expected to be suited by the increased distance. The spotlight verdict identifies MOMENT OF LIGHT and Gavriel as the biggest players on bare figures.

5.45 Hexham: Free Tips Daily On attheraces.com Handicap Hurdle

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Dickens (IRE): This horse is the top TimeWise-ranked contender with a Total score of 307. Dickens made a winning start for Jennie Candlish over this course and distance and comfortably followed up in a Cartmel handicap. He has a history of winning after a break and is considered a serious player despite a 9lb rise. The spotlight verdict states DICKENS has made a “fine start” and can go 3-3 for his trainer.
    2. Getaway Frankie (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 235. Getaway Frankie made a winning start for his current handler in a novice race over this course and distance but was subsequently pulled up in similar company at Cartmel. He needs to get back on track. The spotlight verdict places Gemini Man as second choice, with Malangen appealing as the pick of the rest, suggesting Getaway Frankie is not a primary contender despite his TimeWise ranking.

5.55 Bellewstown: Tote, Never Beaten By SP Handicap Hurdle (0-100)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Miss Gitana (IRE): The TimeWise leader with a Total score of 256. Miss Gitana has three Flat wins but is still a maiden after eight hurdle starts. Despite a below-par recent run, she is considered one for the shortlist. The spotlight verdict includes Miss Gitana as a potential feature.
    2. Sydney Cruiser (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 248. Sydney Cruiser made a long-awaited breakthrough at Sligo last week on his 21st hurdle start. Having been threatening to win, he could perform well again off a 5lb higher mark. The spotlight verdict states Sydney Cruiser should be in the mix again.

6.07 Kempton: Unibet Supporting Safer Gambling Novice Stakes (GBB Race) (Div I)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Grizedale: Leads the TimeWise rankings with a remarkable Total score of 331. Grizedale narrowly won a 1m race at Kempton this month, pulling clear with the runner-up. He is bred to handle the drop in trip to 7f and is open to further progress. The spotlight verdict confirms GRIZEDALE holds “leading form claims” and should cope with the shorter distance.
    2. One More (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 249. One More displayed consistent 2yo form with three second-place finishes. Having been gelded since his last run, this seasonal debutant is considered a major contender based on his figures. The spotlight verdict identifies One More as the “biggest threat” and the second choice.

6.15 Hexham: Joanne Colledge 50th Birthday Celebrations Handicap Hurdle

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Nachtgeist (IRE): The top TimeWise-ranked horse with a Total score of 251. Nachtgeist, a useful Flat winner in Germany, has been improving for his new yard this summer, finishing runner-up in a Worcester handicap. He is considered a player despite a 1lb rise. The spotlight verdict regards Nachtgeist as a “big threat”.
    2. Kajaki (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 227. It has been 12 runs since Kajaki’s last success in 2023, but he was not disgraced when sixth of ten in a Cartmel handicap. He is not considered a forlorn hope after a break.

6.25 Bellewstown: Bective Stud Tea Rooms & Apartments Mullacurry Cup Handicap Hurdle

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Timeless Treaty (IRE): This horse is the top TimeWise-ranked contender with a Total score of 293. Timeless Treaty made a winning debut in a Down Royal maiden and followed up with a Punchestown novice win. Despite some errors at Galway, he has a definite chance, especially with a 7lb claim off top weight. The spotlight verdict regards Timeless Treaty as a worthy top-weight with a good chance due to a 5lb claim.
    2. Mercury Mission: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 286. Mercury Mission achieved back-to-back wins in novice handicaps earlier in the year and returned to form with a narrow victory at Wexford. He is now 4lb higher.

6.37 Kempton: Unibet Supporting Safer Gambling Novice Stakes (GBB Race) (Div II)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Sarab Star: Leads the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 307. Sarab Star won gamely at Salisbury last term and, despite seemingly being unsuited by heavy ground in a Group 2, retains significant potential. She is highly regarded for her belated reappearance, especially back down in class. The spotlight verdict predicts SARAB STAR could make a successful reappearance.
    2. Spitzbergen (FR): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 258. Spitzbergen has undergone wind and gelding operations and is fitted with a tongue-tie and hood. He went close in his only 2yo start and finished third at Kempton, suggesting he could improve further. The spotlight verdict names Spitzbergen as the chief threat on form.

6.45 Hexham: Sterling Clift 60th Birthday Celebrations Handicap Chase

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Ribeye: This horse is the top TimeWise-ranked contender with a Total score of 260. Ribeye is a course winner who achieved an 8l victory at Market Rasen and a strong-finishing second there subsequently. He is performing as well as ever and is considered a big player back at this track, being only 1lb higher than his last win. The spotlight verdict makes RIBEYE the “nap” selection, praising his recent form and strong prospects.
    2. Killybegs Jet Lady (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 241. Killybegs Jet Lady has not won over hurdles in 11 attempts but has been placed in four of her last six starts, including a runner-up finish in a Hexham handicap. She won an Irish point and is an interesting contender on her switch to fences with a visor added. The spotlight verdict considers Killybegs Jet Lady a point winner who should have a future in this new discipline.

6.55 Bellewstown: PANDA Mares Hurdle

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Love At Sea (IRE): The TimeWise leader with a Total score of 268. Love At Sea is a point/bumper winner who has begun to make her mark over hurdles, stepping up to win a 17-runner maiden at Cork. While she may need to find extra in this company, she is not without a chance.
    2. Adela Icon (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 251. Adela Icon is a Punchestown maiden hurdle winner who has shown satisfactory recent form at Kilbeggan despite a tendency to race keenly. She is expected to be competitive if she settles better. The spotlight verdict suggests Adela Icon has good prospects of upholding her Kilbeggan form.

7.15 Hexham: At The Races App Market Movers Handicap Chase

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Cracking Destiny (IRE): This horse is the top TimeWise-ranked contender with a Total score of 268. This 12yo recorded his eighth chase win over this course and distance in June. Despite an incident-packed race, he rallied well, and a 2lb rise is considered fair. He is a key player. The spotlight verdict highlights CRACKING DESTINY for his eighth chase win over C&D and fair 2lb rise, making him the main selection.
    2. Huit Reflets (FR): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 210. Huit Reflets is 7lb lower than his hurdle win here last summer, but that is his only success in 29 starts under rules, and he has achieved little in three chase runs. Although headgear returns, he is considered opposable. The spotlight verdict suggests Royal Deeside is the main threat to Cracking Destiny, not Huit Reflets, despite the TimeWise ranking.

7.25 Bellewstown: John Purfield Memorial Handicap Hurdle (0-100)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Farrokh (FR): The TimeWise leader with a Total score of 257. Farrokh was a Tipperary winner last year and has been generally consistent in defeat, recently finishing third at Ballinrobe. However, he needs to find a bit more to play a leading role. The spotlight verdict includes Farrokh as a danger.
    2. W B Easy (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 238. This maiden took a step in the right direction, finishing fourth in a Ballinrobe handicap despite a last-flight error. He is still open to improvement. The spotlight verdict notes W B Easy as a top-weight who remains open to improvement.

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Bulletin (IRE): Tops the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 286. Bulletin is a consistent performer, having placed in a Goodwood contest and running creditably. His AW form figures include a win in April, making him a solid contender returning to this sphere. The spotlight verdict states BULLETIN looks “very solid” returning to AW, where he achieved his only success.
    2. Muhaajim: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 281. Muhaajim was somewhat disappointing in his last Sandown handicap, failing to build on a Pontefract maiden win. However, he is a low-mileage colt with a useful pedigree suggesting he should improve. He is not written off.

7.45 Hexham: At The Races App Expert Tips Mares’ Open National Hunt Flat Race (Category 1 Elimination) (GBB Race)

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Lady Kara: The TimeWise leader with a Total score of 268. Lady Kara, whose dam was a very useful Irish hurdle winner, finished a clear second at Newton Abbot behind a strong favourite. This was a promising start, and she is expected to improve. The spotlight verdict gives the vote to LADY KARA, citing her good second at Newton Abbot behind a useful rival.
    2. Dotties Promise: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 251. Dotties Promise, out of a bumper winner, made a promising debut with a close third over this course and distance. She took a strong hold in that race and is open to progress if she can settle better. The spotlight verdict notes Dotties Promise finished a close third on her C&D debut.

7.55 Bellewstown: Tote.ie (Ladies Pro/Am) Flat Race

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. I’m A Rocket Man (IRE): This horse is the top TimeWise-ranked contender with a Total score of 203. I’m A Rocket Man shaped well to finish third behind a promising horse at Punchestown, despite being badly hampered on debut. He failed to perform as favourite at Galway but could make amends if he returns to form, with Jody Townend booked. The spotlight verdict states I’M A ROCKET MAN has a strong claim if forgiven his Galway lapse, based on his Punchestown third.
    2. Lord Lackendarra (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 174. Lord Lackendarra has run eight times in bumpers, placing twice, but is expected to find less exposed runners too good.

8.07 Kempton: Unibet Zero% Mission (London Sprint Series Qualifier) Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Haazeez (IRE): Tops the TimeWise rankings with a Total score of 276. Haazeez’s fortunes improved in 6f races, narrowly missing out at Doncaster before a taking win on Southwell AW. Despite a 7lb rise and a high draw, he looks promising. The spotlight verdict identifies Haazeez as the “main danger,” noting his promising win at Southwell.
    2. Hello Zaman (IRE): Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 274. Hello Zaman often leads and was a wide-margin winner of a Lingfield novice. While he had a tough task on his handicap debut, subsequent defeats suggest he carries his share of weight.

8.37 Kempton: Unibet More Extra Place Races Handicap

  • Top Two TimeWise Ranked Horses:
    1. Karthon: The TimeWise leader with a Total score of 271. Karthon, a maiden, has run three sound races at this approximate trip since headgear was fitted, narrowly being run down here last week. He is expected to find a win soon and perform well again. The spotlight verdict states Karthon looks “sure to go well again”.
    2. Divot: Ranks second with a Total TimeWise score of 239. Divot has improved since returning to Tapeta, finishing a close second at Southwell. However, he found less over 1m4f there subsequently, raising questions about whether this is his ideal trip on Polytrack.
