Yarmouth; Here are the Master Top Two rated horses in each Yarmouth race, based on TimeWise ratings:

·

2.25 Thoroughbred Daily News EBF Novice Stakes (GBB Race) (6f)

1. Division

  • TimeWise Rating: 327
  • Recent Form & Comments: This Kingman colt, who cost 800,000gns as a yearling and holds a Middle Park entry, achieved a ready success from the front at Haydock (6f, good), building on his debut effort. He is described as a useful prospect who looks capable of defying a penalty.
  • Chances Assessment: Division is the highest-rated horse in this race and possesses a strong pedigree and Group race aspirations. His proven ability to win from the front over 6f on good ground suggests he is a leading contender for victory, even with a penalty.

2. Shahik

  • TimeWise Rating: 243
  • Recent Form & Comments: Shahik was comfortably held in a small field at Salisbury (7f, good to firm) but was hindered by greenness. The two colts who beat him have strongly advertised the form since. He is expected to take a significant step forward.
  • Chances Assessment: While his debut was not a winning one and he showed greenness, the subsequent form boost of the horses he competed against is a strong positive. With potential for significant improvement and suitability for the 6f trip, he is a strong contender for a place and could surprise.

2.55 Great Yarmouth Glass Company Nursery Handicap (7f)

1. Parole Officer

  • TimeWise Rating: 254
  • Recent Form & Comments: Parole Officer has been a model of consistency this year, with form figures of 62233, despite being a beaten favourite on the All-Weather twice recently (7f/1m). He ran well in his last turf attempt and has a “fighting chance” on his nursery debut.
  • Chances Assessment: His reliability and consistent placings are a major strength, suggesting he is well-suited to competitive racing. While he needs to translate his consistent All-Weather form to turf for a win, his previous turf performance indicates he is “in the mix”.

2. Black Endeavour (IRE)

  • TimeWise Rating: 244
  • Recent Form & Comments: Black Endeavour showed some improvement to beat Akabusi in a Nottingham nursery (6f) and then ran creditably at Newbury (7f) later in August, both on good ground. He is an “in-form contender”.
  • Chances Assessment: Coming into the race with recent winning form and a creditable performance at 7f on good ground, he is a solid contender. His progression in nurseries makes him a strong candidate for a place, and possibly a win.

3.25 British Stallion Studs EBF Confined Maiden Stakes (GBB/GBBPlus Race) (1m)

1. Spyce

  • TimeWise Rating: 355
  • Recent Form & Comments: A 280,000gns breeze-up purchase who holds a Futurity entry. She finished nicely for an eyecatching second of 13, faring best of the newcomers, in the Convivial Maiden at York Ebor festival (7f, good to firm). She has “leading claims”.
  • Chances Assessment: Spyce is the highest-rated horse in this race and brings exceptional form from a strong maiden. Her Group entry and strong debut indicate significant potential. The step up to 1m is expected to suit, making her the prime candidate for victory.

2. Nova Centauri (USA)

  • TimeWise Rating: 324
  • Recent Form & Comments: He ran a promising third of ten at Newbury (7f, good to firm), where he was one place behind a subsequent winner. He fared best of the newcomers and shaped as if this extra furlong (1m) will suit. He is a “major contender”.
  • Chances Assessment: With a strong debut performance and form that has been boosted by a subsequent winner, Nova Centauri is a serious challenger. The step up in trip is seen as beneficial, positioning him as a strong contender for a win or place.

3.55 SSP Signs & Graphics Handicap (7f)

1. Thurso

  • TimeWise Rating: 280
  • Recent Form & Comments: Thurso has run creditably off this mark over 7f the last twice (good/All-Weather), taking his record since being gelded to 231135. He gained his wins at 6f (good to firm) but is “likely to give his running” again.
  • Chances Assessment: His consistent form at 7f and versatility on various ground types make him a reliable contender. While his wins were at 6f on faster ground, his recent performances suggest he can be very competitive over 7f on soft ground.

2. Saytarr

  • TimeWise Rating: 278
  • Recent Form & Comments: Saytarr has form figures of 321 since his belated return to action, most recently opening his account in a Lingfield All-Weather contest on only his second attempt over 7f. He is “unexposed at this distance” and “respected”.
  • Chances Assessment: As a recent winner and being unexposed at 7f, Saytarr is considered a very strong contender for the win. While his last win was on the All-Weather, his progression suggests he has more to offer, and is the “nap” selection in the spotlight.

4.30 Strawberry Fields Stud – We Sell Horses Handicap (GBBPlus Race) (1m2f)

1. Nepal (IRE)

  • TimeWise Rating: 273
  • Recent Form & Comments: An ex-Irish 3yo who was favourite in both starts for his new yard last month. He won a Yarmouth maiden (1m2f, good to firm) but was held in sixth on his handicap debut at Sandown (1m2f, soft). He “still has potential” after only seven starts but “needs to find more with cheekpieces added”.
  • Chances Assessment: He is a proven winner at this distance on good to firm ground and remains unexposed with potential for improvement, especially with the addition of cheekpieces. However, his poor performance on soft ground is a significant weakness given today’s conditions.

2. Keble Spirit

  • TimeWise Rating: 270
  • Recent Form & Comments: This Gosden 3yo made a good start in handicaps with a C&D win (good to firm) in April and a creditable third at Sandown in July. He “still has potential” but struggled on soft ground at Sandown last month and “probably wants the ground to dry out”.
  • Chances Assessment: A C&D winner with good handicap form, he certainly has the ability. His main weakness, however, is his strong preference for drier ground, having struggled on soft recently. This makes him a risky proposition if the ground remains soft.

5.00 Goffs Two Million Series Fillies Handicap (6f)

1. Rhyme Dust

  • TimeWise Rating: 318
  • Recent Form & Comments: Rhyme Dust has shown improved form since dropped to 6f, winning at Salisbury then finishing fourth in a Pontefract Listed event, both on good to firm. Whether she can defy a 20lb rise for the latter effort “remains to be seen”; hood removed.
  • Chances Assessment: She is in excellent form over 6f, with a win and a Listed placing. However, the 20lb rise in weights is a substantial challenge, and her best form is on good to firm, which may not suit today’s soft ground. This makes her a risky but potentially rewarding choice.

2. Running Queen

  • TimeWise Rating: 305
  • Recent Form & Comments: Out of the frame on the All-Weather in her sole outing this term. Her solid 2yo campaign on turf featured a soft-ground win in a conditions race and two placed efforts at Listed level. Her “return to this sphere is the angle” with her.
  • Chances Assessment: Her proven ability to win on soft ground and perform well at Listed level as a two-year-old makes her a strong contender, particularly in today’s conditions. This race’s conditions appear well-suited to her strengths, and she is the second choice in the spotlight.

5.30 Winning Experience With Moulton Racing Handicap (5f)

1. Moulin Booj (IRE)

  • TimeWise Rating: 296
  • Recent Form & Comments: Has fair form on soft ground, but his three 5f turf wins were all on good to firm. He has remained in form since a Thirsk win last month, despite being hampered at Windsor and running well from a wide draw on Lingfield AW. He will be “bang there if coping with the ground”.
  • Chances Assessment: He is in good recent form and has a proven record over 5f on turf. His main weakness is his preference for good to firm ground, so his ability to handle soft conditions will be key. He is expected to be competitive if the ground is not too heavy.

2. Raneenn (IRE)

  • TimeWise Rating: 294
  • Recent Form & Comments: All three of her wins have been at 6f, including on this course. She had a successful handicap debut at Doncaster (good to firm; has won on good to soft) in April but “hasn’t gone on” and was better drawn than Moulin Booj when they were fourth and fifth on Lingfield AW (5f) recently; “needs more”.
  • Chances Assessment: Raneenn is a course winner at 6f and has shown ability on good to soft ground, which is a positive for today’s conditions. Her recent form is less inspiring, but her proven capability at the track and on softer ground suggests she could be a strong place contender, and a potential danger.
