Her best effort was winning a Punchestown Mares’ Grade 3 last time, showcasing her usual late change of gear. She looks the one to beat, taking the ride with a promising 7lb amateur. Form history shows 11321-.	The Grade 3 Punchestown bumper winner CARRIGMOORNASPRUCE is the one to beat, and she isn’t easy to oppose despite making her hurdles debut.	Strengths: Holds the highest TimeWise rating. Comes off a Grade 3 bumper win, confirming she is a quality mare. Weakness/Suitability: She is making her hurdles debut. Despite this, her bumper form is superior to her rivals, making her a leading contender.
2	Amen Kate (IRE) (5)	319	Beat Carrigmoornaspruce by 7l in a bumper on debut at this track. Has finished behind that rival in all three subsequent starts, including being beaten 9l in a Punchestown Grade 3 when last seen. She was keen that day, so the application of a hood on hurdles debut could make her more competitive. Form history shows 1444-.	The Grade 3 Punchestown bumper winner Carrigmoornaspruce is the one to beat, and she isn’t easy to oppose despite making her hurdles debut. Amen Kate beat the selection on their respective debuts here a year ago but has been behind her thrice since.	Strengths: Demonstrated the ability to win previously at this track and beat the top selection once. The first-time hood offers a chance for improvement on her temperament. Weakness/Suitability: Has been consistently beaten by Carrigmoornaspruce recently. Needs to find improvement on her hurdle debut to challenge the favourite.

This form sets him apart in this company, though he was likely flattered after racing prominently off slow fractions. He is considered hard to oppose on hurdling debut. Form history shows 42122-.	All eyes on Champion Bumper second HEADS UP who makes his debut over hurdles. His rivals here could merely dream about performing so well in a race of that stature. The Man’s Room has good each-way claims but is relying on the favourite fluffing his lines.	Strengths: Holds the vastly superior form courtesy of his Cheltenham run. High TimeWise rating (340). Rated hard to oppose despite his inauspicious bumper record. Weakness/Suitability: This is his debut over hurdles. His Cheltenham performance may have been aided by favourable pace tactics.
2	The Mans Room (IRE) (5)	271	Runner-up in maidens at Limerick (2m1f) and Bellewstown (2m4f, good). His latest conqueror has since followed up. He may find the 2m trip on the sharp side. Has each-way claims in the new cheekpieces (p1). OR 110, RPR 130.	All eyes on Heads Up who makes his debut over hurdles. The Man’s Room is relying on the favourite fluffing his lines but he has good each-way claims.	Strengths: Consistent placing recently, earning him good each-way claims. Equipped with new cheekpieces. Weakness/Suitability: May find the 2m trip too sharp. Needs the strong favourite, Heads Up, to underperform.

MESSERSCHMITT (nap) is selected after running a cracker on the Flat and placing third in a Galway handicap hurdle. Last Kingdom has 4.5l to make up on Messerschmitt but cheekpieces might help. Puturhandstogether is classy and has to be respected under topweight.	Strengths: Highest rated on TimeWise (349). Currently in solid form, winning and placing repeatedly in the spring. The addition of cheekpieces may improve his performance. Weakness/Suitability: Needs to find 4.5 lengths to overturn recent form with Messerschmitt.
2	Puturhandstogether (IRE) (4)	309	Useful Flat winner (Flat rated 82). Smart hurdler who won the Fred Winter at Cheltenham and was third in the Grade 1 Boodles Juvenile at Aintree. Was well below form in the Galway Hurdle. This race is less competitive, so he is respected. Form history shows 213-60. OR 140, RPR 135.	MESSERSCHMITT (nap) is selected. Puturhandstogether was poor in the Galway Hurdle but is classy and has to be respected under topweight.	Strengths: Proven class, having won a prestigious handicap (Fred Winter) and placed in a Grade 1. Respected despite carrying topweight. Weakness/Suitability: Comes off a poor run in the Galway Hurdle. His TimeWise rating is significantly lower than Last Kingdom.

Strengths: Leading TimeWise rating (267). Currently in good form having won recently and placed since, over suitable distance. Expected to run well despite a 2lb rise. Weakness/Suitability: He is not the clear pick of the Spotlight analysis, which favoured Targa Flavio.
2	Oh So Charming (5)	238	Won at Clonmel in June but has been hit and miss since on the Flat and over hurdles. Had a poor run at Bellewstown last time and needs to bounce back. Form history shows -41P29. OR 110.	A chance is taken on Targa Flavio. Paul’s Dream, Fool Me Once, Katherine and Fast Felix are others in the mix.	Strengths: Ranked second by TimeWise (238). Has won previously this summer. Weakness/Suitability: Inconsistent form and requires a significant bounce back from a poor latest outing. His rating is well below the TimeWise leader.

Preference is for NOTICEBOX who had been progressing well in maidens until an excusable failure when short odds. This mark could underestimate him. Gavin Cromwell has a useful hand including Malina Girl.	Strengths: Holds the highest TimeWise rating (288). Proven winner over this distance in handicaps, including at this track. Weakness/Suitability: His mark has risen following recent success. The Spotlight preferred a stablemate of the second-ranked horse.
2	Malina Girl (IRE) (8)	285	Lightly raced over hurdles (1-6). Was a disappointing favourite off a similar mark in March. 2m4f is on the tight side for her, as she stays well over fences (ran in the Irish National last time). Form history shows /3230-. OR 112.	Gavin Cromwell has a useful hand and not only with smart chaser Malina Girl who gets in off a way lower hurdle mark. Preference is for their stablemate Noticebox.	Strengths: Smart chaser competing off a lower hurdle mark. TimeWise rating is high (285). Weakness/Suitability: The 2m4f trip may be too short for her. Had been a disappointing favourite previously at a similar mark.

Made a couple of notable jumping errors when beaten about 11l at Galway (4-1 chance). Should be on the premises if ironing out the mistakes. Form history shows 531-28.	MOSSY FEN PARK is selected, having performed to a smart level over hurdles and holding his own against quality opposition over fences. Sandor Clegane and Uncle Pat are a lot better than they showed in the same beginners’ chase at Galway.	Strengths: TimeWise leader (300). Proven progressive hurdler at this distance. Showed promise on chase debut. Expected to run much better than his last outing. Weakness/Suitability: Prone to jumping errors, which cost him at Galway.
2	Sandor Clegane (IRE) (8)	280	Has a massive chance on the best of his form over hurdles and fences, having mixed it at Grade 1 level. Disappointed back over fences at Galway. He was seventh in the big handicap here on Wednesday; that hard race would be a concern if turned out again. Form history shows 408-77. OR 143, RPR 146.	MOSSY FEN PARK is selected. Sandor Clegane (entered on Wednesday) and Uncle Pat are a lot better than they showed in the same beginners’ chase at Galway.	Strengths: Class performer, mixing it at Grade 1 level. High RPR 146. Expected to improve greatly on his disappointing Galway chase run. Weakness/Suitability: Potential major weakness is having run a hard race the day before (Wednesday entry).

She saw her debut out well and is expected to improve. Form history shows 2. RPR 108.	The suggestion is SAINT CLOVIS who was third in a big field at Galway and never nearer than at the finish. Mahon Falls should improve on her second at Wexford and that form anyway entitles her to feature.	Strengths: Highest TimeWise rating (278). Strong debut run (second) with form boosted by the winner. Expected to progress significantly. Weakness/Suitability: Limited race exposure (one run).
2	Saint Clovis (FR) (4)	261	A market drifter at Galway but still went off at 14-1. Kept on nicely under Patrick Mullins to be third of 19 runners. Headgear (h1) is soon turned to. One to consider. Form history shows 3. RPR 107.	The suggestion is SAINT CLOVIS who was third in a big field at Galway and never nearer than at the finish. Mahon Falls should improve.	Strengths: Explicitly selected as the main suggestion by the Spotlight Verdict. Demonstrated ability in a large field (third of 19) and finished strongly. Headgear applied (h1). Weakness/Suitability: Was a market drifter on debut.
