• I Am Lorenzo (6yo): Showed a “quite smart level of form” when finishing runner-up in two of his three maiden hurdle runs for his previous trainer last season. • Themanintheanorak (5yo): Was a surprise winner of a 2m4f Listowel bumper in June (good). However, his two subsequent maiden hurdle runs have been ordinary. He is “likely more one for handicaps and over further”.

Absent since down the field, having been badly hampered, in an Aintree bumper in April, Henry de Bromhead’s SCOPE TO IMPROVE could take some beating now switched to hurdles.
