5.30 Wolverhampton – SBK Betting Without The Bull Handicap

·

6f | Class 3 | Tapeta | 12 runners

A strong Class 3 sprint where draw, early pace and recent AW form should tell. Wolverhampton’s 6f rewards horses that can hold a position from the gate and still finish, and there’s enough pace on here to make it a proper test.

Zoulu Chief looks a solid starting point. A last-time-out C&D winner, well drawn on the inside, and clearly thriving for Mrs Main. He’s effective when able to sit handy and kick off the bend, and his profile suggests he’s still competitive off this mark.

Justcallmepete arrives in red-hot form having rattled off a sequence of wins. He’s a Tapeta specialist at this trip and comes here with momentum, though this is a deeper race than he’s been facing and he’ll need things to fall right from midfield.

Carbine Harvester is interesting back at 6f. His AW record is strong, he’s tactically versatile, and he shaped well last time. If he can track the speed without getting shuffled back, he’s a big player.

Kullazain is less exposed than most and impressed when winning here recently. A penalty makes life tougher, but he’s lightly raced, still learning, and could easily have more to offer on this surface.

Of the others, Eminency is reliable and often runs his race without winning, Coachello has the class to feature if bouncing back to his best, while Betsen and Purest Time look more like place players unless the race collapses late.

Verdict:
Plenty with chances, but recent Wolverhampton form and track position look key. Zoulu Chief sets the standard, with Justcallmepete and Carbine Harvester the main threats, while Kullazain is the improver who could step forward again.
