7.30 Wolverhampton – Midnite Are Upping The Betting Game Handicap (6f)🏇⤵️👇

·

A tight seven-runner sprint where the pace angle looks obvious and that should have a big say in the outcome.
Three habitual front runners line up here, with Beauzon, Twilight Madness and Digital all comfortable going forward. That suggests a genuine gallop from the start and possibly a contested lead. In small-field sprints at Wolverhampton that often decides the race before they turn in.
Beauzon arrives in outstanding form having rattled off a sequence of wins and he tops the ratings again here. Stall 1 is ideal for his usual attacking style and if he breaks well he should be able to control the rail. The question is whether the constant winning run and pressure from other pace horses makes life tougher this time.
Twilight Madness is a regular around here and is another course-and-distance winner. He has the pace to be involved early but his runs often flatten out late if the early fractions are too strong. In a race with multiple front runners that vulnerability is a concern.
Digital is also likely to be part of the early battle but arrives off a disappointing run and looks less reliable than the main market principals.
If the pace becomes contested the race may set up for something finishing late. Water Of Leith fits that profile well. He tends to track the speed rather than force it and regularly finishes his races strongly at this track. In a race where the leaders may soften each other up, that running style could be ideal.
Mumayaz is another who finishes well and is capable of picking up pieces late if the pace collapses, while Silky Robin looks more of an outsider but could pass tiring horses late on.
Verdict
On form and ratings Beauzon is the clear benchmark and from stall 1 he will be hard to peg back if allowed to dictate.
However, the presence of several pace rivals means this may not be straightforward. If the leaders go too hard early, Water Of Leith looks the one most likely to take advantage late, with Mumayaz another who could run on into the places if the race becomes messy up front.
