The 3.15 at Huntingdon is a small-field mares’ maiden that will be decided more by race shape than raw ability.🏇⤵️👇

On paper, Pure Ocean brings the best recent form and sets the standard. However, she’s likely to be one of two forcing the pace alongside Ebony Ebbs, and the data suggests that pace will be honest enough to test stamina. In a six-runner race, that matters — there’s nowhere to hide if you go too hard.
That scenario plays directly into the hands of Flying Pimpernel.
She’s already shown she can finish her races strongly, and in contrast to the likely leaders, she doesn’t need to dominate early. With a proper gallop expected, she should get a clean tow into the race before being produced late. Her profile is solid, she’s improving, and crucially she looks the one most suited to how this race will unfold.
Kaylas Friend is the unknown. The Murphy yard can land these with a newcomer, but in this tactical setup, experience and proven racecraft count for plenty. She may need the run or at least the experience.
The rest look up against it. Kittys Glance could improve after wind surgery, but she needs to find more than she’s shown. Tipperary Star and Ebony Ebbs look exposed or outclassed.
Verdict:
If the pace unfolds as expected, this sets up cleanly for a closer.
Flying Pimpernel is the most likely winner.
