4.22 Lingfield – No Frills, No Excuses🏇⤵️👇

This is a poor Class 6 and it should be treated as such. These races are rarely about brilliance — they’re about who can actually put a race together from start to finish.
The starting point is the TimeWise ratings, and they point firmly at Saachi and Dotties Star. Historically, that’s where the winner comes from, and there’s no good reason to overcomplicate it here.
Saachi sits top of the pile and comes here off a win. On paper, that’s exactly what you want in this grade. The problem is his run style. He has a habit of travelling into races and then finding little off the bridle. In a race where the pace isn’t strong, you can easily see him getting first run — and then becoming vulnerable late.
That brings in Dotties Star, who looks much more straightforward. He stays, he keeps going, and he finishes his races properly. In this grade, that’s a big edge. The Comment Shaper backs that up — he’s one of the few in here consistently finishing off his efforts, and that alone makes him dangerous.
The pace angle is worth noting but not overplaying. Pure Theory is likely to go forward, but the data flags the front-running strength as weak. This isn’t a scenario where something is likely to stack them up and nick it. More likely, the race turns into a steady grind turning in — and that suits a horse who will actually see it out.
Gearings Point is solid and well drawn, but looks exposed. He’ll probably get a nice position and trade shorter in-running, but he doesn’t find much when it matters.
The rest are much of a muchness — inconsistent, limited, or both.
So it comes back to a simple call.
Saachi has the numbers.
Dotties Star has the profile.
In a weak race, side with the one more likely to finish the job.
Selection: Dotties Star
Saver: Saachi (IRE)
