8.30 Wolverhampton – No Pace, No Excuses🏇⤵️👇

·

This is a poor Class 6, but the setup is actually quite clear if you strip it back properly.
The Comment Shaper flags no obvious front runner and only modest early pressure. That usually leads to a steadily run race where track position is everything. You do not want to be coming from the clouds here — especially not with a field full of unreliable finishers.
The Ratings Don’t Lie
Jane Of The Jungle sits clear at the top of the HRB TimeWise figures (213) and, importantly, brings the best last run in the field (66.4). That’s a big edge at this level.
She’s also one of the few likely to race prominently, which is a major plus given the lack of pace. In a race where most of these will be dropped in and hoping, she should get first run.
Yes, she’s not bombproof. The profile is patchy and she can weaken. But in this grade, that’s the norm rather than the exception.
The Only Alternative
A Lott Of Kane is the only one close enough on ratings to matter.
He’s consistent enough and tends to stay on, but the problem is obvious — he’ll be played late in a race that may not suit closers. If they crawl early, he’s instantly on the back foot.
He’s a saver at best, not the main play.
The Rest – Hard to Fancy
Frankali – another hold-up type, same tactical issues
Woody Y Fernandez – erratic and hard to trust
Baileys Ontherocks – keeps finding little off the bridle
Most of these need the race to fall apart. The shape says it probably won’t.
Verdict
This isn’t a race to overthink. The top rated horse is tactically suited and comes here off the best recent run. That’s usually enough in this grade.
Jane Of The Jungle is the pick.
Confidence
Medium
The race lacks depth, but it also lacks certainty. She’s the right one — just not one to go all-in on.
