13:45 Kempton – Virgin Bet Novice Stakes, 6f, Class 4🏇⤵️👇

·

Most Likely Winner:
Creative Queen – the obvious upside filly in the field. She was green in a tactical three-runner race on debut, still ran to the best published figure among the unpenalised runners, and Haggas/Doyle with a second-time novice filly at this level is the strongest solid form-and-projection combination in the race.
Best Value Bet:
Zain Primus – the market looks to have him a touch behind the right pair, but the case is stronger than the price suggests. His Newcastle debut over 7f hinted at ability without the race really suiting: he travelled well enough and shaped like a sprinter dropping back to 6f would help. Pedigree backs that up, and this looks the sort of novice where a sharper test can unlock immediate improvement. Creative Queen may simply be better, but she is priced on reputation as much as substance; Zain Primus is priced closer to what he has shown, not what this setup could bring out.
Best Outsider:
That’s Random – not a wild longshot, but the one at double-figure odds who could easily outrun his price. His Lingfield debut was better than the bare result, the form has some substance, and he comes from a family with AW sprint ability. Low draw helps if this turns tactical. The claim is a slight negative, but he is the one outside the front of the market with realistic improvement.
Key Insight:
This is a novice where the market is heavily driven by expensive, lightly raced types, so the edge is not in guessing which newcomer is smart but in finding who is most likely to improve for today’s 6f setup. Zain Primus looks underestimated because his debut run over 7f probably masked the fact that this sharper sprint test is more suitable.
