BEAGLE BAY is clear Rank 1 on HRB (324.8) and significantly ahead of the field. That matters because TimeWise data shows the majority of winners emerge from the top two ranks, especially in races like this. His Leicester fourth reads well in context: he conceded weight to progressive three-year-olds and still shaped with promise. Prior to that he won smoothly at Chelmsford after an 11-month absence and his Newbury maiden second from last season now looks strong form.

The race shape is also highly suitable. Comment Shaper suggests only one likely front-runner (Shimmering Spin) with merely moderate pressure overall. That should allow this to develop into a steadily-run tactical race before quickening late.
