This is a tactical 7f around Epsom, so balance, position and handling the track matter more than in a straight-track 7f. Low-to-middle draws look preferable if they can hold position; very wide runners risk being posted wide into the turn.
Pace should come from the sharper 6f types: Ten Carat Harry, Postmodern and Ardisia. If they press on, it helps the proven 7f finishers; if steady, handy-racers get an edge. Ellusive Butterfly, drawn 9, may need luck and cover.
Main view
Greek Mythology looks the cleanest profile: lightly raced, progressive at 7f, handles good and soft, and was only 1l away in a Listed race at Naas. Strong contender. P
Stellar Sunrise has the best RPR, a strong 7f win at Newbury and a progressive overall profile, but he was below expectations in a similar race last time. Obvious player, but not bombproof. p
Postmodern is interesting after gelding and with a first-time hood. His best form is at 6f, but the Meydan second suggested 7f is worth trying. Chance if settling. P
Northern Champion has the ratings and international form, but comes back from Meydan after a below-par Group 1 run and has a bit to prove back on home soil. Market watch after 69 days off.
Ten Carat Harry is tough, prolific and in form. He has Listed 7f form but much of his best work is 6f/AW. Respected, though this asks for another step.
Ellusive Butterfly had traffic at York and has useful 7f form, but is 0-5 on turf and drawn widest. Each-way outsider if things fall right.
Ardisia has back-class and a Listed win, but carries a 3lb penalty and his 2026 efforts are not convincing.
Assaranca won well last time and has Epsom experience, but has plenty to find on ratings up from handicap level.
Awaken is a non-runner.
